حضرت عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا: "میں نے یہ سوچا ہے کہ میں کسی شخص کو لوگوں کی نماز کی امامت کے لیے مقرر کر دوں اور خود ان لوگوں کے پاس جاؤں جو باجماعت نماز سے غافل رہتے ہیں تاکہ ان کے گھروں کو ان پر گرا دوں۔" "اگر لوگ جمعہ کی نماز چھوڑ دیں گے تو اللہ ان کے دلوں پر مہر لگا دے گا تاکہ وہ غافل ہو جائیں۔"1

`Abdullah Ibn Mas'ud related that the Prophet (pbuh) said, "I have considered having a man lead people at prayer and going myself to those who stay back from attending the congregational prayer to bum their houses down upon them..” "If the people forgo the Friday Prayer, Allah will set a seal on their hearts for them to become heedless.”1

"جو شخص کسی شرعی عذر کے بغیر تین جمعہ چھوڑ دے، اللہ تعالیٰ اس کے دل پر مہر لگا دے گا۔"2

"Whoever misses three Friday prayers without a legal excuse, Allah will set a seal on his heart.”2

"جو شخص کسی (شرعی) عذر یا خطرے کے بغیر جمعہ کی نماز چھوڑ دے گا، اسے منافقین میں شمار کیا جائے گا اور یہ ایک ایسے ریکارڈ میں ہوگا جسے نہ مٹایا جا سکے گا اور نہ ہی بدلا جا سکے گا۔"3

"Whoever misses the Friday prayer without a (legal) excuse or a danger will be accounted amongst the hypocrites in a record that cannot be erased or altered.”3

حضرت حفصہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا، "جمعہ کی نماز کی ادائیگی ہر اس بالغ مرد پر واجب ہے جو (اس کی شرائط کے) قابل ہو۔"4

Hafsa (may Allah be pleased with her) related, the Prophet (pbuh) said, "Going to the Friday prayer is obligatory for every male who has reached puberty.”4
