اللہ تعالیٰ نے فرمایا: {ملامت تو صرف ان لوگوں پر ہے جو لوگوں پر ظلم کرتے ہیں اور زمین میں فساد پھیلاتے ہوئے حد سے تجاوز کرتے ہیں، ایسے لوگوں کے لیے سخت عذاب ہے} (سورۃ الشوریٰ: 42)

Allah, the Almighty said, {The blame is only against those who oppress men with wrong-doing and insolently transgress beyond bounds through the land, defying right and justice: for such there will be a chastisement grievous} (Ash-Shura: 42)

نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا، "اللہ تعالیٰ نے مجھے یہ وحی کی ہے کہ تم سب عاجزی اختیار کرو اور کوئی بھی دوسرے پر خود کو برتر نہ سمجھے۔" 1

The Prophet (pbuh) said, "Allah has inspired to me that you are all to be humble and that no one should exalt himself above another.” 1

یہ بھی روایت کیا گیا ہے کہ، "اگر ایک پہاڑ دوسرے پر زیادتی کرے گا، تو اللہ زیادتی کرنے والے کو مٹی کر دے گا۔"2

It is also reported that, "If a mountain transgresses against the other, Allah will make the one that transgressed it into dust.”2

نبی کریم ﷺ نے یہ بھی فرمایا: "اس سے بڑھ کر کوئی گناہ کا مرتکب اس دنیا میں اللہ کی طرف سے عذاب کا مستحق نہیں ہے، ساتھ ہی آخرت میں بھی، جو دوسروں پر زیادتی کرے اور اپنے رشتہ داروں سے تعلق توڑ دے۔"3

The Prophet (pbuh) also said, "There is no sin whose owner is more deserving to be tortured by Allah in this world along with punishment in the Hereafter than the one who transgresses against others and severs the relation with one's kin.”3

اللہ تعالیٰ نے قارون کو زمین میں دھنسا دیا جب اس نے اپنی قوم پر زیادتی کی۔

Allah, the Almighty caused the earth to swallow up Qarun when he transgressed against his people.

اس کے بارے میں اللہ تعالیٰ نے فرمایا: {قارون بلاشبہ موسیٰ کی قوم میں سے تھا لیکن اس نے ان کے ساتھ تکبر کا معاملہ کیا}۔ (سورۃ القصص: 76)

Concerning him, Allah the Almighty said, {Qarun was doubtless, of the people of Moses but he acted insolently towards them.} (Al-Qasas: 76)

اللہ تعالیٰ نے یہ بھی فرمایا: {پھر ہم نے زمین کو اسے اور اس کے گھر کو نگل لیا.................} (سورۃ القصص: 81)

Allah, the Almighty also said, {Then we caused the earth to swallow up him and his house.................} (Al-Qasas: 81)

ابن الجوزی رحمہ اللہ نے فرمایا کہ علماء قارون کی سرکشی کی نوعیت کے بارے میں اختلاف کرتے ہیں۔ ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا کہ اس نے بدکاری کرنے والی عورتوں کے لیے رقم کا ایک مجموعہ مقرر کیا تاکہ موسیٰ علیہ السلام پر اس گھناؤنے جرم کا الزام لگایا جا سکے۔ ضحاک نے کہا کہ اس نے اللہ تعالیٰ کے ساتھ کفر کے ذریعے سرکشی کی۔ قتادہ نے کہا کہ اس نے اپنی بڑائی کرنے کے ذریعے سرکشی کی۔ عطا الخراسانی نے کہا کہ اس نے اپنے کپڑے لوگوں کے مقابلے میں ایک بالشت لمبا رکھ کر سرکشی کی۔ اور الموردی نے کہا کہ وہ فرعون کے زیرِ اثر تھا اور اس نے سرکشی کی اور بنی اسرائیل پر ظلم کیا۔

Ibn Al-Jawzi (may Allah have mercy upon him) said, the scholars are in disagreement about the identification of Qarun's transgression. Ibn 'Abbas said that he designate for the adulteresses a sum of money to charge Moses (pbuh) with this heinous crime. Ad-Dahak said he transgressed by disbelief in Allah, the Almighty. Qatada said he transgressed through exalting himself. Ata' Al- Khurasani said, he transgressed through making his clothes longer than the peoples by a span. And Al-Mawrdi said, he served under the Pharaoh and he transgressed and oppressed the children of Israel.

اللہ تعالیٰ کے اس فرمان کے بارے میں کہ {پھر ہم نے زمین کو حکم دیا کہ اسے اور اس کے گھر کو نگل لے}، علماء نے کہا ہے کہ: "جب قارون نے ان بدکاری کرنے والی عورتوں کو حکم دیا کہ وہ موسیٰ علیہ السلام پر (پہلے ذکر کیے گئے طریقے کے مطابق) تہمت لگائیں، تو موسیٰ علیہ السلام کو غصہ آیا اور انہوں نے اس کے خلاف اللہ سے دعا کی۔ اللہ تعالیٰ نے ان پر وحی فرمائی کہ: 'میں نے زمین کو تمہاری اطاعت کا حکم دیا ہے، پس تم اسے جو چاہو حکم دو۔' موسیٰ علیہ السلام نے کہا، 'اے زمین، اسے نگل لے،' چنانچہ زمین نے اسے نگلنا شروع کر دیا یہاں تک کہ اس کا بستر زمین میں دھنس گیا۔ جب قارون نے یہ دیکھا تو اس نے قرابت داری کے واسطے سے موسیٰ علیہ السلام سے التجا کی۔ لیکن موسیٰ علیہ السلام نے کہا، 'اے زمین، اسے نگل لے،' چنانچہ زمین نے اسے اس وقت تک نگلا جب تک اس کے پاؤں دھنس گئے۔ موسیٰ علیہ السلام دعا کرتے رہے یہاں تک کہ قارون مکمل طور پر زمین میں دب گیا۔ اس پر اللہ نے ان پر وحی فرمائی، 'اے موسیٰ! تم کتنے سخت ہو۔ میری عزت اور بزرگی کی قسم! اگر وہ مجھ سے التجا کرتا تو میں اس کی پکار سن لیتا!' ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہا کہ اللہ نے زمین کو اسے نگلنے کا حکم دیا یہاں تک کہ وہ زمین کے سب سے نچلے حصے تک پہنچ گیا۔

Concerning Allah's saying" {Then we caused the earth to swallow up him and his house} the scholars said, "When Qarun ordered the adulteresses to charge Moses as previously mentioned, Moses got angry and he supplicated Allah against him. Allah the Almighty revealed to him saying, "I ordered the earth to obey you so order it with whatever you want. Moses said, 'O earth, swallow him,' so it swallowed him until his bed was sunk into the earth. When Qarun saw this he entreated Moses by the kinship. But Moses said, 'O earth, swallow him and it took him until his feet were sunk.' Moses continued to supplicate until Qarun was completely swallowed by the earth. There upon Allah revealed to him, O Moses how harsh you are. By my honor and Glory, if he entreated me, I would respond to him! Ibn 'Abbas said, Allah caused the earth to swallow him up until he reached to the lowest earth.

سمرہ بن جندب نے کہا کہ جب کبھی زمین انہیں نگل لیتی تو وہ دوبارہ معمول پر آ جاتے اور یہ عمل بار بار دہرایا جاتا۔ مقتف نے کہا، "جب قارون ہلاک ہوا تو بنی اسرائیل نے کہا، 'یہ موسیٰ ہی ہیں جنہوں نے اس کی جائیداد اور گھر چھیننے کے لیے اسے تباہ کیا، چنانچہ اللہ نے تین دن بعد اسے زمین میں دھنسا دیا؛ {اور اس کا اللہ کے خلاف کوئی مددگار نہ تھا} یعنی اللہ سے بچانے کے لیے، {اور نہ ہی وہ اپنی حفاظت کر سکتا تھا} یعنی وہ اس عذاب کو نہیں روک سکتا تھا جو اللہ نے اس پر نازل کیا تھا۔"

Samrah Ibn Jundub said, whenever the earth swallowed him he would return back to normal and the process would be repeated. Muqatif said, "When Qarun was destroyed, Banu Israel said, "It is Moses who destroyed him to take his property and his house, so Allah caused the earth to swallow him up after three days; {And he had not (the least little) party to help him against Allah)} i.e., to protect him from Allah, {Nor could he defend himself} i.e. he could not prevent what Allah has revealed him of chastisement.
