جادوگری ایک کبیرہ گناہ ہے کیونکہ جادوگر کے لیے کفر کرنا ناگزیر ہے، اور ملعون شیطان کا کسی شخص کو جادو سکھانے کے پیچھے اللہ کے ساتھ شریک ٹھہرانے کے سوا کوئی اور مقصد نہیں ہوتا۔

Sorcery is a major sin because the sorcerer must necessarily disbelieve and the accursed Devil has no other motive for teaching a person witchcraft than that he might thereby ascribe associates to Allah.

اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتا ہے، {سلیمان نے کفر نہیں کیا بلکہ شیطان نے کفر کیا، جو لوگوں کو جادو سکھاتا تھا، اور وہ چیزیں جو بابل میں ہاروت اور ماروت نامی فرشتوں پر نازل کی گئی تھیں۔ لیکن ان دونوں میں سے کوئی کسی کو (ایسی چیز) نہیں سکھاتا تھا مگر یہ کہہ کر کہ، 'ہم تو محض آزمائش ہیں، پس کفر نہ کرنا۔' اور انہوں نے ان دونوں سے میاں بیوی کے درمیان فساد ڈالنے کا طریقہ سیکھا۔ لیکن وہ اللہ کے حکم کے بغیر کسی کو نقصان نہیں پہنچا سکتے تھے۔ اور انہوں نے وہ چیزیں سیکھ لیں جو ان کے لیے نقصان دہ تھیں، نہ کہ وہ جو ان کے لیے فائدہ مند ہوں۔ اور وہ جان گئے کہ (جادو) خریدنے والوں کا آخرت کی خوشیوں میں کوئی حصہ نہ ہوگا۔} [سورۃ البقرہ: 102]

Allah, the Almighty, says, {Solomon did not disbelieve but Satan disbelieved, teaching men magic, and such things as came down at Babylon to the angels Harut and Marut. But neither of these taught anyone (such things) without saying, 'We are only for trial,' so do not blaspheme.' They learned from them the means to sow discord between man and wife. But they could not harm anyone except by Allah's permission. And they learned what harmed them, not what profited them. And they knew that the buyers of (magic) would have no share in the happiness of the Hereafter.} (AI- Baqarah: 102)

چنانچہ، آپ کو کچھ ایسے گمراہ لوگ مل سکتے ہیں جو جادو سیکھنے میں مگن ہوں اور یہ سوچتے ہوں کہ یہ محض ایک حرام کام ہے۔ درحقیقت، وہ اپنے اس عمل کو کفر نہیں سمجھتے، حالانکہ یہ کفر ہے! وہ ہر قسم کا جادو سیکھنے میں پڑ جاتے ہیں: جیسے خالص جادو، مرد اور عورت کے درمیان محبت بڑھانا یا کم کرنا، کسی مرد کو (دوسروں کی نظر میں) اہم بنانا اور اس جیسی دیگر چیزیں۔

Thus, you might find some people who are astray delving in learning sorcery and thinking that it is just unlawful. Actually, they do not consider what they do as disbelief, but it is! They embark on learning all kinds of sorcery: Pure sorcery, increasing or decreasing the love between a man and a woman, making a man important and the like.

یہ تمام اعمال کچھ نامعلوم الفاظ کے ذریعے کیے جاتے ہیں، جن میں سے اکثر کفر کی طرف لے جاتے ہیں۔

All of these practices are done by means of some unknown words, most of which lead to unbelief.

جادوگر کی سزا قتل ہے۔ اس کی وجہ یہ ہے کہ وہ کافر ہے۔ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا: "سات ہولناک گناہوں سے بچو۔"1

The penalty for a sorcerer is to be killed. This is because he is an unbeliever. The Prophet (pbuh) said, "Avoid the seven heinous sins.”1

اور انہوں نے جادو کا ذکر کیا۔

And he mentioned sorcery.

"جادوگر کی سزا تلوار ہے۔"2

"The penalty for a sorcerer is the sword.”2

بیلاہ بن اباہ سے متعلق ہے، کہ عمر رضی اللہ عنہ اپنی وفات سے ایک سال قبل ہمارے پاس آئے اور فرمایا، "ہر جادوگر (مرد یا عورت) کو قتل کر دو۔"3

Bijalah Ibn Abah related, 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) came to us one year before his death and said, "Kill every sorcerer (male or female).”3

وہب بن منبہؒ نے کہا، "میں نے ایک کتاب میں پڑھا: 'اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتا ہے، 'مجھ سے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں، وہ شخص مجھ سے نہیں ہے جو جادو کرے، یا کسی سے کہے کہ وہ اس کے ساتھ جادو کرے، اور نہ ہی وہ جو پیش گوئی کرے یا جس سے پیش گوئی کی جائے، اور نہ ہی وہ جو شگون لے یا جس کے لیے شگون لیا جائے۔'" 4

Wahb Ibn Munabbih said, "I read in a book: 'Allah the Almighty says, 'There is no god but Me. He is not of Me who practices sorcery, or asks someone to practice with him. The one who foretells or the foretold, the one who seeks an omen or for whom an omen is sought.” 4

علی ابن ابی طالب رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا: "پیشگوئی کرنے والا جادوگر ہوتا ہے، اور جادوگر کافر ہوتا ہے۔" ابو موسیٰ اشعری رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا: "شراب پینے والا، صلہ رحمی توڑنے والا، اور جو جادو پر ایمان لائے گا، وہ جنت میں داخل نہیں ہوگا۔"1

`Ali Ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) said, A for tuneteller is a sorcerer, a sorcerer is a disbeliever." Abu Musa AI-Ashari, may Allah be pleased with him, related that the Prophet (pbuh) said, "The drunkard, the one who severs the ties of kinship, and whoever believes in sorcery will not enter Paradise.”1

ابن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا، "جادو کے توڑ، تعویذ اور طلسم شرک ہیں۔"2

Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) related that the Prophet (pbuh) said, "Incantations, amulets and spells are Shirk (polytheism).”2

ان چیزوں کو شرک تصور کیا جاتا ہے کیونکہ جاہل شخص یہ سمجھتا ہے کہ یہ چیزیں ان امور پر اثر انداز ہو سکتی ہیں جو اللہ تعالیٰ کی طرف سے پہلے ہی طے شدہ ہیں۔ تاہم، امام خطابیؒ نے فرمایا: "تعویذ یا شفا بخش کلمات اس وقت جائز ہیں اگر وہ قرآن یا اللہ کے اسماء الحسنیٰ پر مشتمل ہوں۔" نبی کریم ﷺ حسنؓ اور حسینؓ کے لیے یہ کہہ کر دم کیا کرتے تھے: "میں تمہارے لیے اللہ کے کامل کلمات کے ذریعے ہر شیطان، زہریلے جانور اور حاسد کے شر سے پناہ مانگتا ہوں۔" 3

These are treated as Shirk because the ignorant believes that these things can affect what has been predetermined by Allah. However, AIKhattabi said, "Incantations or healing words are permitted if they consist of the Qur'an or the Most Beautiful Names of Allah." The Prophet (pbuh) used to recite (incantate) AI-Hasan and AlHusain by saying, "I seek refuge for you in Allah's Perfect Words from every Devil, beast or envious .” 3
