لِلْفَصْلِ فِي الْخُصُومَاتِ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ.

Settle the disputes between people,.

يُمنع كل ما يُلحق الضرر بالحقوق العامة، و

Prevent whatever harms the common rights, and.

لفضّ النزاعات بين الناس وبين أيّ شخص يشكّل جزءاً من نظام الحكم، سواء كانوا حكّاماً أو موظفين، أو الخليفة أو أيّ شخص آخر.

Resolve the arguments between people and any person who forms part of the ruling system, be they rulers or employees, the Khaleefah or any other person.

يحدد الإسلام أن كلاً من هذه الوظائف أجزاء منفصلة من القضاء، وأن كل واحدة منها يتولاها أنواع مختلفة من القضاة.

Islam defines that each of these roles are separate parts of the judiciary and that each are undertaken by different types of judges.
