Amir Jihad adalah direktur dan pengawas seluruh keempat departemen. Khalifah boleh mendelegasikan jabatan ini kepada seorang Muslim yang memenuhi syarat, tetapi karena ia adalah kepala negara, penting bahwa ia sendiri yang memegang peran tersebut.

The Amir of Jihad is the director and supervisor of all four departments. The Khaleefah may delegate this position to a suitably qualified Muslim, but since he is the head of state, it is important that he takes on the role himself.
