अ--- अल्लाह तआला फ़रमाता है: {वह तुम्हें भली-भाँति जानता है, जब उसने तुम्हें धरती (आदम) से बनाया, और जब तुम अपनी माताओं के गर्भ में भ्रूण थे। अतः अपने आप को पवित्र न ठहराओ। वह उसे भली-भाँति जानता है जो अल्लाह से डरता है और उसके प्रति अपने कर्तव्य का पालन करता है (यानी अल-मुत्तक़ून, अर्थात् परहेज़गार लोग)}। (अन-नज्म, 32)

A--- Allah the Almighty says: {He knows you well when He created you from the earth (Adam), and when you were fetuses in your mothers' wombs. So ascribe not purity to yourselves. He knows best him who fears Allah and keeps his duty to Him (i.e. those who are Al-Muttaqun (the pious)}. (An-Najm, 32)

रिवायत है अब्दुल्लाह इब्न मसऊद (अल्लाह उनसे राज़ी हो) से: अल्लाह के रसूल ﷺ, जो सच्चे हैं और जिन पर सच्ची वही उतारी जाती है, ने फ़रमाया: "इंसान की पैदाइश (की प्रक्रिया) माँ के पेट में चालीस दिन तक इकट्ठा होती है, फिर वह उतने ही समय तक गाढ़े ख़ून का लोथड़ा बनता है, फिर उतने ही समय तक गोश्त का टुकड़ा बनता है। फिर अल्लाह एक फ़रिश्ता भेजता है जिसे चार बातें लिखने का हुक्म दिया जाता है। उसे उसके (यानी नई बनने वाली जान के) अमल, उसकी रोज़ी, उसकी मौत (के वक़्त) और यह लिखने का हुक्म दिया जाता है कि वह नेक बख़्त होगा या बदबख़्त (दीन के एतबार से)। फिर उसमें रूह फूंकी जाती है। चुनांचे तुम में से कोई आदमी ऐसे अमल करता रहता है कि उसके और जन्नत के बीच बस एक हाथ का फ़ासला रह जाता है, फिर उस पर लिखी हुई तक़दीर उस पर ग़ालिब आ जाती है और वह दोज़ख़ वालों जैसे अमल करने लगता है। और इसी तरह तुम में से कोई आदमी (बुरे) अमल"

Narrated' Abdullah Ibn Mas'ud (May Allah be pleased with him): Allah's Messenger, the true and truly inspired said: "(The matter of the Creation of) a human being is put together in the womb of the mother in forty days, and then he becomes a clot of thick blood for a similar period, and then a piece of flesh for a similar period. Then Allah sends an angel who is ordered to write four things. He is ordered to write down his (i.e. the new creature's) deeds, his livelihood, his (date of) death, and whether he will be blessed or wretched (in religion). Then the soul is breathed into him. So, a man amongst you may do (good deeds till there is only a cubit between him and Paradise and then what has been written for him decides his behavior and he starts doing (evil) deeds characteristic of the people of the (Hell) Fire. And similarly a man amongst you may do (evil)

…यहाँ तक कि उसके और (जहन्नम की) आग के बीच केवल एक हाथ का फ़ासला रह जाता है, फिर जो कुछ उसके लिए लिखा जा चुका होता है वही उसके आचरण का फ़ैसला करता है, और वह जन्नत वालों जैसे कर्म करने लगता है।” (बुखारी और मुस्लिम)
