A--- Allah, the Almighty says: {O you who believe! Observing As-Sawm (the Fasting)(12)

{ऐ ईमान वालो! तुम पर रोज़े अनिवार्य किए गए हैं, जैसे तुमसे पहले वालों पर अनिवार्य किए गए थे।} (अल-बक़रा, 183)

Is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you). (Al-Baqarah, 183)

अल्लाह कहता है: {तो तुम में से जो कोई उस महीने को पाए (यानी रमज़ान के पहले दिन की रात में अपने घर पर मौजूद हो), उसे उस महीने के रोज़े रखने चाहिए}। (अल-बक़रह, 185)

Allah says: {So whoever of you sights (the crescent on the first night of the month (of Ramadan i.e. is present at his home), he must observe Sawm (fasts) that month}. (Al-Baqarah, 185)

हदीस के अनुसार, एक बेदुइन ने अल्लाह के रसूल ﷺ से कहा: मुझे वह रोज़ा बताइए जो अल्लाह ने मुझ पर फ़र्ज़ किया है। उन्होंने ﷺ फ़रमाया: "रमज़ान का महीना।" पूछने वाले ने कहा:

According to a Hadith, a Bedouin said to Allah's Messenger (Peace be upon him): Tell me the Fast that Allah makes obligatory for me. He (Peace be upon him) said: "The month of Ramadan. The inquirer said:

क्या मुझ पर इसके अलावा कोई और रोज़ा रखना अनिवार्य है? उन्होंने (नबी ﷺ ने) फ़रमाया: "नहीं, सिवाय उसके जो तुम अपनी मर्ज़ी से रखो।" (सहीह बुखारी)

Am I obliged to fast anything else besides this? He (the Prophet (Peace be upon him)) said: No, except that which you observe out of your own free will". (Sahih Bukhari)
