A--- इसके प्रमाण अनेक हैं: इसकी अवधि को तीस वर्षों के साथ गिनना, जो उनके खिलाफ़त (नेतृत्व) का काल था, उन्हें पैगंबर के अन्य सभी साथियों पर प्राथमिकता देना, और सामरा इब्न जुंदुब द्वारा वर्णित वह हदीस जिसमें वे कहते हैं: एक व्यक्ति ने कहा: "ऐ अल्लाह के रसूल ﷺ! मैंने देखा मानो आसमान से एक डोल उतरा। फिर अबू बक्र आए और उसे ले लिया और उसमें से बहुत थोड़ा पिया। फिर उमर आए, उसे लिया और इतना पिया कि तृप्त हो गए। फिर उस्मान आए, उसे लिया और इतना पिया कि तृप्त हो गए। फिर अली आए, उसे लिया तो वह उनसे खींच लिया गया और उसमें से कुछ उन पर छिड़का गया।" (अबू दाऊद और अहमद)

A--- The proofs are numerous: counting its period with thirty years which is the period of their leadership, preferring them to all other companions of the Prophet (Peace be upon him), and what has been narrated by Samura Ibn Jundub saying: that a man said: “O Allah's Messenger! I saw as if a bucket descended from the sky. Then came Abu Bakr and took it and he drank very few thereof Then, came 'Umar who took it and drank till he got satisfied. Then, came `Uthman who took it and drank till he got satisfied. Then, came `Ali who took it and it was drawn from him and something thereof was spelt over him.” (Abu Dawud and Ahmed)

इसके अलावा, उम्मत (मुस्लिम समुदाय) ने उनकी ख़िलाफ़त पर सहमति की है, और इसका विरोध वही करता है जो गुमराह हो गया और जिसने बिदअतें (नए गढ़े हुए तरीके) अपना लीं।
