A--- अल्लाह के रसूल ﷺ ने फ़रमाया: "नज़र लगना एक सच्चाई है।" (बुखारी और मुस्लिम)

A--- Allah's Messenger (Peace be upon him) says: "The effect of an evil eye is a fact.” (Bukhari and Muslim)

उम्म सलमा (अल्लाह उनसे राज़ी हो) से रिवायत है कि नबी ﷺ ने उनके घर में एक लड़की को देखा जिसके चेहरे पर एक काला धब्बा था। आपने फ़रमाया: "इसे नज़र लग गई है, इसलिए इसका रुक़्या (झाड़-फूँक) कराओ।" (बुखारी और मुस्लिम)

Narrated Umm. Salamah (May Allah be pleased with her): That the Prophet (Peace be upon him) saw in her house a girl whose face had a black spot. He said. "She is under the effect of an evil eye, so treat her with a Ruqyah.” (Bukhari and Muslim)

हज़रत आइशा (अल्लाह उनसे राज़ी हो) से रिवायत है: नबी ﷺ ने मुझे, या किसी और को, नज़र लगने के ख़तरे की सूरत में झाड़-फूँक (रुक़्या) करने का हुक्म दिया। (बुख़ारी और मुस्लिम)

Narrated `A'ishah (May Allah be pleased with her): The Prophet (Peace be upon him) ordered me or somebody else to do Ruqyah (if there was danger) from an evil eye.” (Bukhari and Muslim)

वह (ﷺ) कहते हैं: "नज़र लगने या बुखार के सिवा कोई झाड़-फूंक (रुक़्या) जायज़ नहीं।" (इमाम अहमद)

He (Peace be upon him) says: "No Ruqyah is allowed but for an evil eye or fever." (Imam Ahmed)

ऐसी ही अन्य रिवायतें प्रामाणिक हदीसों में भी मिलती हैं। लेकिन हमें यह जानना चाहिए कि नज़र-ए-बद तब तक प्रभावी नहीं हो सकती जब तक अल्लाह तआला न चाहे। इसी के साथ, हमारे कई पूर्ववर्ती उलेमा ने निम्नलिखित आयत की व्याख्या की है: {और बेशक, जो लोग कुफ़्र करते हैं, वे जब ज़िक्र (क़ुरआन) सुनते हैं तो अपनी निगाहों से (दुश्मनी के कारण) तुम्हारे क़दम लगभग डगमगा देते हैं}। (अल-क़लम, 51)

Other narrations that go in the same vein can be found among the authentic Hadiths. But, we should know that the evil eye can not be effective unless Allah the Almighty wills. With this, the following verse was interpreted by many of our earlier scholars: {And verily, those who disbelieve would almost make you slip with their eyes (through hatred) when they hear the Reminder (the Qur'an)}. (Al-Qalam, 51)
