O mundo de hoje encontra-se num abismo de exploração, caos e desespero como nunca antes se testemunhou. Vemos à nossa volta uma situação dominada pelos fortes oprimindo os fracos, os ricos explorando os pobres e os ignorantes governando os esclarecidos. A confusão em que a humanidade se encontra é resultado de uma só coisa: a ausência do Islam dos corações e das mentes das pessoas, e dos sistemas que regulam as suas vidas.

The world today stands in an abyss of exploitation, chaos and despair such as has never previously been witnessed. We see around us a situation dominated by the strong oppressing the weak, the rich exploiting the poor and the ignorant ruling the enlightened. The mess humanity face is a result of one thing - the absence of Islam; from the hearts and minds of people, and the systems which regulate their lives.

Esse estado de coisas se encarna no mundo ocidental, cujas ruas do centro das cidades se caracterizam pela riqueza e pela falta de moradia no mesmo trecho de estrada. Enquanto algumas pessoas dirigem carros de luxo e vivem em coberturas, outras precisam vasculhar lixeiras em busca de comida para comer. Idosos podem ser vistos perambulando pelas ruas sem dinheiro, vendendo seus pertences apenas para juntar o suficiente para uma xícara de chá. O controle das necessidades básicas, como água, gás e eletricidade, está nas mãos de indivíduos e empresas gananciosos, que cobram preços exorbitantes por seus serviços. Todas essas são consequências de uma má gestão flagrante em nível governamental.

This state of affairs is epitomised in the Western world, whose inner city streets are characterised by affluence and homelessness in the same stretch of road. While some people drive luxury cars and live in penthouses, others have to scavenge in dustbins for food to eat. Old people can be seen wandering the streets with no money, selling their possessions just to raise enough money for a cup of tea. The control of basic necessities like water, gas and electricity lie in the hands of greedy individuals and companies, who charge exorbitantly for their services. These are all consequences of gross mis-management at a governmental level.

De fato, a corrupção e a exploração no cenário político tornaram-se a norma em todo o mundo, e ainda mais nos chamados países "muçulmanos", com seus governantes fantoches. Aqui, a pobreza é onipresente, e a fome, a opressão política e o crime tornaram-se quase um modo de vida. Os políticos mentem e enganam para iludir o povo e obter seu apoio, ocultando suas verdadeiras ambições de ganho pessoal e a busca pelo poder. Sua preocupação com o bem-estar das massas, com pouquíssimas exceções, é guiada pelo desejo de manter o status quo que eles mesmos criaram.

Indeed, corruption and exploitation in the political arena has become the norm throughout the world, even moreso in the so called ‘Muslim’ countries with their puppet rulers. Here, poverty is ubiquitous, and starvation, political oppression and crime have become like a way of life. Politicians lie and cheat in order to dupe the people into supporting them, while hiding their real ambitions of personal gain and the quest for power. Their concern for the welfare of the masses, with very few exceptions, is directed by their desire to maintain the status quo which they have created.

No cccenário social, vemos que a humanidade se arrastou para níveis mais baixos do que nunca antes. Chegou-se ao ponto em que coisas que outrora eram vistas como abomináveis, como a homossexualidade, a prostituição e o abuso de drogas, são abertamente toleradas e, em algumas nações, são até perfeitamente legais.

On a social level, we see that humanity has dragged itself to lower levels then ever before. It has come to the point where things which were once seen as abominations, such as homosexuality, prostitution and drug abuse, are openly tolerated and in some nations are even perfectly legal.

Infelizmente, este tipo de comportamento degenerado pode ser observado por todo o globo. A superficialidade e a natureza destrutiva do modo de vida capitalista ocidental, que se tornou o modelo a seguir e o padrão absoluto pelo qual o mundo inteiro julga o seu nível de "civilização", não produz senão miséria para a humanidade, para o meio ambiente e até para os animais.

Sadly, this type of degenerate behaviour can be seen all across the globe. The shallowness and destructive nature of the Western Capitalist way of life, which has become the role model and the absolute standard by which the whole world judges its level of ‘civilisation’, is producing nothing but misery for mankind, the environment and even the animals.

Ainda assim, a arrogância daqueles que controlam a agenda — os governos, os políticos, a mídia etc. — não conhece limites. Eles justificam suas ações sob o pretexto de slogans como "democracia" e "liberdade", que, como veremos adiante, não têm realidade alguma e não resistem ao teste da razão. Para encobrir seus rastros, os que estão no poder se empenharam em turvar a mente das massas, para impedi-las de reconhecer a realidade da confusão e da decadência ao seu redor. Os problemas da sociedade são encobertos com uma mentalidade superficial, sem reflexão, de escapismo barato e gratificação de consumo. Daí a preocupação com filmes, esportes, loterias nacionais, música e assim por diante. Tudo isso existe para garantir que as pessoas não tenham tempo, nem inclinação, para contemplar a realidade do que as cerca.

Yet the arrogance of those who control the agenda - the governments, the politicians the media etc. knows no bounds. They justify their actions under the guise of slogans such as ‘democracy’ and ‘freedom’, which as we shall come to see, hold no reality and do not stand up to the test of reason. To cover up their tracks, those in authority have endeavoured to befog the minds of the masses, to prevent them from acknowledging the reality of the mess and decline around them. The problems of society are glossed over with a shallow, non-thinking mentality of cheap escapism and consumer gratification. Hence, the pre-occupation with films, sports, national lotteries, music and so on. These all exist to ensure that the people do not have the time, or the inclination, to contemplate the reality of their surroundings.

Na verdade, é da natureza do kufr promover a falsidade e disfarçar a verdade. As ilusões e enganos da sociedade moderna não são diferentes daqueles que foram enfrentados pelos profetas e mensageiros ao longo dos tempos. Todos os profetas de Allah (SWT), culminando no último mensageiro, Muhammad ﷺ, vieram para expor e destruir a falsidade e estabelecer a verdade.

In fact, it is the nature of kufr, to promote falsehood and disguise the truth. The illusions and deceptions of modern day society are no different to those which were encountered by the prophets and messengers throughout time. All the prophets of Allah (swt), culminating in the last messenger Muhammad (saw) came to expose and destroy falsehood and to establish the truth.

No tempo de Moisés (as), vemos que o Faraó usava os seus magos da corte, com os seus truques de magia, para escravizar e subjugar o povo, iludindo-o a pensar que ele era invencível e que tinha autoridade divina. Allah (SWT) disse: "Eles enfeitiçaram os olhos das pessoas e as encheram de terror, pois apresentaram uma grande (façanha) de magia." [TMQ 7:116] Moisés (as) destruiu a falsidade deles com o cajado que Allah (SWT) lhe concedeu. Allah (SWT) diz: "E inspiramos a Moisés (dizendo): Lança o teu cajado! E eis que ele engoliu o seu espetáculo de mentira. Assim a Verdade foi confirmada e aquilo que eles faziam tornou-se vão." [TMQ 7:117] Hoje, os magos dos Faraós de hoje renascem como ídolos, estrelas do pop e do cinema, e políticos que têm a audácia de propagar o pensamento político capitalista, corrompido e explorador. As suas palavras brilhantes e as ideias superficiais e cosméticas tentam esconder as paredes em ruínas de um modo de vida fabricado pelo homem, não islâmico.

In the time of Moses (as) we see that the Pharaoh used his court magicians with their magic tricks to enslave and subjugate the people, by deluding them into thinking that he was invincible, and had god-like authority. Allah (swt) said, “They bewitched the eyes of the people and struck terror into them for they showed a great (feat) of magic.” [TMQ 7:116] Moses (as) destroyed their falsehood with the staff that Allah (swt) provided him. Allah (swt) says, “And we inspired Moses (saying) : Throw thy staff! And lo! it swallowed up their lying show. Thus the Truth was vindicated and that which they were doing was made vain.” [TMQ 7:117] Today’s Pharaohs’ magicians are reborn as idols, pop and film stars and politicians who have the audacity to propagate the corrupted and exploitative Capitalist political thought. Their glossy words and cosmetic, superficial ideas try to hide the crumbling walls of a manmade, non- Islamic way of life.
