[الحسن بن البنّاء:] أبو الحسن التميمي يروي عن أبيه قال: حضر جدّه جنازة أحمد بن حنبل، وقال: «بقيت أسبوعًا كاملًا أرجو أن أصل إلى القبر، لكن كان هناك جمع غفير من الناس، فاحتجت إلى أسبوع حتى تمكنت من الوصول». 85.1

[Al-Ḥasan ibn al-Bannā:] Abū Ḥasan al-Tamīmī cites his father as saying that his grandfather attended the funeral of Aḥmad ibn Ḥanbal and reported, “I stayed for an entire week hoping to reach the grave but there were too many people there. It took a week for me to get through.” 85.1
