The day Aḥmad ibn Ḥanbal died, there was an outpouring of grief from four communities: the Muslims, the Jews, the Christians, and the Magians; and of the latter three, twenty thousand—or, as reported by Abū Nuʿaym, ten thousand—embraced Islam.480 87.1

[ابن حریث:] جس دن احمد ﷺ وفات پا گئے، خبر تیزی سے ہر گھر تک پہنچ گئی سوائے ان گھروں کے جہاں گناہگار رہتے تھے۔ 481 872

[Ibn Ḥurayth:] The day Aḥmad died, the news spread swiftly to every household except where sinners dwelt.481 87.2
