Todos los seres humanos están dotados, aunque en distinta medida, de instintos y necesidades orgánicas, que los impulsan a realizar ciertas acciones. Por ejemplo, entre los instintos, el instinto de santificación lleva a las personas a venerar y adorar, el instinto de supervivencia las lleva a buscar aumentar su riqueza y asegurar sus vidas, y el instinto procreativo les impulsa a mantener relaciones sexuales con otras personas. Asimismo, entre las necesidades orgánicas se encuentran la necesidad de comer, beber, respirar, etc.

Human beings are all endowed, albeit to different extents, with instincts and organic needs, which drive them to perform certain actions. For example, of the instincts, the sanctification instinct causes people to revere and worship, the survival instinct causes them to seek to increase their wealth and secure their lives, and the procreational instinct urges them to have sexual relationships with others. Similarly, among the organic needs, are the need to eat, drink, breathe etc.

Todos los instintos y necesidades orgánicas deben ser satisfechos. Si los instintos no se satisfacen, conducirán a la desdicha. Si las necesidades orgánicas no se cubren, conducirán a la muerte. Sin embargo, si los seres humanos quedan librados a su propia suerte, emplean su propia mente para dirigir sus acciones y, de este modo, pueden satisfacer sus instintos y necesidades orgánicas exactamente como deseen. Pero su mente es limitada en su capacidad, propensa al error y está sujeta al egoísmo y a los prejuicios. Sin orientación, la satisfacción de los instintos y necesidades orgánicas puede llevarse a cabo de una forma perjudicial para los demás. Por ejemplo, el instinto de supervivencia puede llevar a las personas a engañar y robar a otros para obtener más riqueza. El instinto de procreación puede conducir a la gente a cometer adulterio o fornicación. Estos son solo algunos ejemplos, pero el campo de los problemas es casi ilimitado.

All of the instincts and organic needs must be fulfilled. If the instincts are not satisfied it will lead to misery. If the organic needs are not fulfilled, it will lead to death. However, if human beings are left to their own devices, they use their own minds to direct their actions and can thus fulfil their instincts and organic needs exactly as they please. But their minds are limited in ability, prone to error and subject to selfishness and prejudice. Without guidance, the satisfaction of the instincts and organic needs may be carried out in a way that is harmful to others. For instance, the survival instinct may drive individuals to cheat and steal from others in order to gain more wealth. The procreation instinct may lead people into committing adultery or fornication. These are just a couple of examples, but the scope for problems is almost limitless.

Tal estado de cosas es una receta para el desastre y la corrupción total en la tierra. A menos que los instintos de las personas estén regulados por algún tipo de pautas, la sociedad seguirá plagada de males como los que vemos hoy a nuestro alrededor, tales como el abuso ritual de niños como forma de culto; el crimen y la explotación como medio para aumentar la riqueza; o la homosexualidad o la violación como medio para satisfacer el impulso sexual, etc.

Such a state of affairs is a recipe for disaster and complete corruption on the earth. Unless the instincts of people are regulated by some kind of guidelines, the society will continue to be plagued by evils of the like we see around us today, such as ritual child abuse as a type of worship; crime and exploitation as a mean of increasing wealth; or homosexuality or rape as a means of fulfilling the sexual urge etc.

Sin la guía del Creador, la humanidad no tiene más opción que caer en esta situación. Está claro, entonces, que existe la necesidad de esa guía, que llegue como una salida para todas las personas, y por tanto la necesidad de mensajeros que transmitan esta guía a la humanidad de parte del Creador.

Without guidance from the Creator, mankind has no option but to fall into this predicament. Clearly then, there is a need for such guidance, to come as a way out for all the people, and thereby a need for messengers, to convey this guidance to mankind from the creator.

Ciertamente, desde el comienzo de la historia humana se han enviado mensajeros a la humanidad, portando esta guía y exhortando a las personas a reconocer la naturaleza de su existencia y a comprender la realidad y el propósito de sus vidas. Allah (SWT) dice:

Indeed, messengers have been sent to mankind since the beginning of human history, carrying this guidance and imploring people to recognise the nature of their existence and to understand the reality and purpose of their lives. Allah (swt) says,.

«Y ciertamente enviamos a cada nación un Mensajero (que proclamaba): “Adorad solo a Allah y evitad el mal”».

“And verily We have sent among every nation a Messenger (proclaiming) ‘Worship Allah alone, and avoid evil.’” [TMQ 16:36].

El último de estos mensajeros fue el Profeta Muhammad ﷺ, y con su guía llegó la aclaración no solo de la verdad de esta existencia, sino también del código de conducta para que la humanidad alcance la justicia y la prosperidad tanto en esta vida como en la próxima.

The last of these messengers was Prophet Muhammad (saw) and with his guidance, came the clarification of not only the truth of this existence, but also the code of conduct for humanity to achieve justice and prosperity in both this life and the next.
