De wereld van vandaag staat in een afgrond van uitbuiting, chaos en wanhoop zoals nooit eerder vertoond. We zien om ons heen een situatie die wordt gedomineerd door de sterken die de zwakken onderdrukken, de rijken die de armen uitbuiten en de onwetenden die de verlichten regeren. De chaos waarmee de mensheid wordt geconfronteerd is het resultaat van één ding – de afwezigheid van Islam; uit de harten en de geesten van de mensen, en uit de systemen die hun leven reguleren.

The world today stands in an abyss of exploitation, chaos and despair such as has never previously been witnessed. We see around us a situation dominated by the strong oppressing the weak, the rich exploiting the poor and the ignorant ruling the enlightened. The mess humanity face is a result of one thing - the absence of Islam; from the hearts and minds of people, and the systems which regulate their lives.

Deze situatie wordt belichaamd in de westerse wereld, waar de straten in de binnensteden worden gekenmerkt door rijkdom en dakloosheid op hetzelfde wegsegment. Terwijl sommige mensen in luxe auto's rijden en in penthouses wonen, moeten anderen in vuilnisbakken zoeken naar voedsel om te eten. Ouderen zijn te zien die zonder geld door de straten dwalen, waarbij ze hun bezittingen verkopen om slechts genoeg geld op te halen voor een kopje thee. De controle over basisbehoeften zoals water, gas en elektriciteit ligt in de handen van hebzuchtige individuen en bedrijven, die exorbitante prijzen vragen voor hun diensten. Dit zijn allemaal de gevolgen van grove wanbesturing op regeringsniveau.

This state of affairs is epitomised in the Western world, whose inner city streets are characterised by affluence and homelessness in the same stretch of road. While some people drive luxury cars and live in penthouses, others have to scavenge in dustbins for food to eat. Old people can be seen wandering the streets with no money, selling their possessions just to raise enough money for a cup of tea. The control of basic necessities like water, gas and electricity lie in the hands of greedy individuals and companies, who charge exorbitantly for their services. These are all consequences of gross mis-management at a governmental level.

Inderdaad, corruptie en uitbuiting in het politieke toneel zijn de norm geworden over de hele wereld, zelfs nog meer in de zogenaamde ‘moslimlanden’ met hun marionettenregenten. Hier is armoede alomtegenwoordig, en hongersnood, politieke onderdrukking en criminaliteit zijn als een manier van leven geworden. Politici liegen en bedriegen om het volk te misleiden zodat zij hen steunen, terwijl zij hun werkelijke ambities van persoonlijk gewin en de zoektocht naar macht verbergen. Hun zorg voor het welzijn van de massa's is, met zeer weinig uitzonderingen, gericht op hun verlangen om de status quo die zij zelf hebben gecreëerd te handhaven.

Indeed, corruption and exploitation in the political arena has become the norm throughout the world, even moreso in the so called ‘Muslim’ countries with their puppet rulers. Here, poverty is ubiquitous, and starvation, political oppression and crime have become like a way of life. Politicians lie and cheat in order to dupe the people into supporting them, while hiding their real ambitions of personal gain and the quest for power. Their concern for the welfare of the masses, with very few exceptions, is directed by their desire to maintain the status quo which they have created.

Op sociaal niveau zien we dat de mensheid zichzelf naar lagere niveaus heeft gesleept dan ooit tevoren. Het is tot het punt gekomen waarop zaken die voorheen als gruwelijkheden werden beschouwd, zoals homoseksualiteit, prostitutie en drugsmisbruik, openlijk worden getolereerd en in sommige landen zelfs volkomen legaal zijn.

On a social level, we see that humanity has dragged itself to lower levels then ever before. It has come to the point where things which were once seen as abominations, such as homosexuality, prostitution and drug abuse, are openly tolerated and in some nations are even perfectly legal.

Helaas is dit type degeneratief gedrag over de hele wereld te zien. De oppervlakkigheid en de destructieve aard van de westerse kapitalistische levenswijze, die het rolmodel en de absolute standaard is geworden waaraan de hele wereld haar niveau van 'beschaving' meet, produceert niets anders dan ellende voor de mensheid, het milieu en zelfs de dieren.

Sadly, this type of degenerate behaviour can be seen all across the globe. The shallowness and destructive nature of the Western Capitalist way of life, which has become the role model and the absolute standard by which the whole world judges its level of ‘civilisation’, is producing nothing but misery for mankind, the environment and even the animals.

Toch kent de arrogantie van degenen die de agenda bepalen – de regeringen, de politici, de media, enzovoort – geen grenzen. Zij rechtvaardigen hun daden onder het mom van slogans zoals ‘democratie’ en ‘vrijheid’, die, zoals we later zullen zien, geen enkele realiteit bezitten en niet standhouden bij de toets van de rede. Om hun sporen te wissen, hebben de autoriteiten geprobeerd de geest van de massa's te vertroebelen, om hen te verhinderen de realiteit van de chaos en het verval om hen heen te erkennen. De problemen van de samenleving worden gladgestreken met een oppervlakkige, ondenkende mentaliteit van goedkoop escapisme en consumentenbevrediging. Vandaar de preoccupatie met films, sport, nationale loterijen, muziek en dergelijke. Deze bestaan allemaal om ervoor te zorgen dat de mensen niet de tijd, of de neiging hebben, om de realiteit van hun omgeving te overdenken.

Yet the arrogance of those who control the agenda - the governments, the politicians the media etc. knows no bounds. They justify their actions under the guise of slogans such as ‘democracy’ and ‘freedom’, which as we shall come to see, hold no reality and do not stand up to the test of reason. To cover up their tracks, those in authority have endeavoured to befog the minds of the masses, to prevent them from acknowledging the reality of the mess and decline around them. The problems of society are glossed over with a shallow, non-thinking mentality of cheap escapism and consumer gratification. Hence, the pre-occupation with films, sports, national lotteries, music and so on. These all exist to ensure that the people do not have the time, or the inclination, to contemplate the reality of their surroundings.

In feite is het de aard van ongeloof (Kufr) om onwaarheid te bevorderen en de waarheid te verhullen. De illusies en misleidingen van de moderne samenleving zijn niet anders dan die welke werden aangetroffen door de profeten en boodschappers door de tijd heen. Alle profeten van Allah (SWT), culminerend in de laatste boodschapper Muhammad ﷺ, kwamen om onwaarheid te ontmaskeren en te vernietigen en om de waarheid te vestigen.

In fact, it is the nature of kufr, to promote falsehood and disguise the truth. The illusions and deceptions of modern day society are no different to those which were encountered by the prophets and messengers throughout time. All the prophets of Allah (swt), culminating in the last messenger Muhammad (saw) came to expose and destroy falsehood and to establish the truth.

In de tijd van Moses zien we dat de Farao zijn hofmagiërs met hun toverkunst gebruikte om het volk te onderwerpen en tot slaaf te maken, door hen te misleiden met de gedachte dat hij onoverwinnelijk was en goddelijke autoriteit bezat. Allah (SWT) zei: “Zij betoverden de ogen van de mensen en brachten hen in angst, omdat zij een grote (daad) van magie toonden.” [TMQ 7:116] Moses vernietigde hun onwaarheid met de staf die Allah (SWT) hem had geschonken. Allah (SWT) zegt: “En Wij inspireerden Moses (zeggende): Werp uw staf! En zie! Het verslond hun valse schijnvertoning. Zo werd de Waarheid bewezen en werd dat wat zij deden zinloos.” [TMQ 7:117] De magiërs van de Farao's van vandaag zijn herboren als afgoden, pop- en filmsterren en politici die de brutaliteit hebben om het gecorrumpeerde en uitbuitende kapitalistische politieke denken te verspreiden. Hun glanzende woorden en cosmetische, oppervlakkige ideeën proberen de afbrokkelende muren van een door mensen gemaakte, niet-islamitische levenswijze te verbergen.

In the time of Moses (as) we see that the Pharaoh used his court magicians with their magic tricks to enslave and subjugate the people, by deluding them into thinking that he was invincible, and had god-like authority. Allah (swt) said, “They bewitched the eyes of the people and struck terror into them for they showed a great (feat) of magic.” [TMQ 7:116] Moses (as) destroyed their falsehood with the staff that Allah (swt) provided him. Allah (swt) says, “And we inspired Moses (saying) : Throw thy staff! And lo! it swallowed up their lying show. Thus the Truth was vindicated and that which they were doing was made vain.” [TMQ 7:117] Today’s Pharaohs’ magicians are reborn as idols, pop and film stars and politicians who have the audacity to propagate the corrupted and exploitative Capitalist political thought. Their glossy words and cosmetic, superficial ideas try to hide the crumbling walls of a manmade, non- Islamic way of life.
