আল্লাহ তাআলা বলেন: {আর তোমরা যে রিযক পাও, তার জন্য (আল্লাহর শুকরিয়া আদায়ের পরিবর্তে) তোমরা তাঁকে অস্বীকার করছ!} (আল-ওয়াকিআ, ৮২)

A--- Allah the Almighty says: {And instead (of thanking Allah) for the provision He gives you, you deny (Him by disbelief)!}. (AlWaqi' ah, 82)

সুফিয়ান (আল্লাহ তাঁর প্রতি সন্তুষ্ট হোন) থেকে বর্ণিত: উবাইদুল্লাহ বলেন: "আমি ইবনু আব্বাসকে বলতে শুনেছি, 'জাহিলিয়াতের যুগের মানুষের কিছু স্বভাব এই: (ক) অন্য বংশের বংশমর্যাদা নিয়ে কটূক্তি করা; (খ) এবং মৃতের জন্য বিলাপ করা।'" উবাইদুল্লাহ তৃতীয় স্বভাবটি ভুলে গিয়েছিলেন।

Narrated Sufyan (May Allah be pleased with him): 'Ubaidullah said: "I heard Ibn 'Abbas saying, "Following are some traits of the people of the pre-Islamic period of ignorance (a) to defame the ancestry of other families; (b) and to wail over the dead." 'Ubaidullah forgot the third trait.

সুফিয়ান বললেন: "তারা বলে, এটি (অর্থাৎ তৃতীয় বৈশিষ্ট্যটি) ছিল এই বিশ্বাস করা যে বৃষ্টি তারকার প্রভাবে সংঘটিত হয় (অর্থাৎ কোনো বিশেষ তারকা উদিত হলে বৃষ্টি হবে)।

Sufyan said: "They say it (i.e. the third trait) was to believe that rain was caused by the influence of stars (i.e. if a special star appears it will rain).

যায়িদ ইবনু খালিদ আল-জুহানী (রাঃ) থেকে বর্ণিত: রাসূলুল্লাহ ﷺ হুদায়বিয়ায় ফজরের সালাত আদায় করালেন। রাতে বৃষ্টিপাতের কিছু চিহ্ন ছিল। সালাত শেষ করে তিনি লোকদের দিকে ফিরে বললেন: "তোমরা কি জানো তোমাদের রব কী বলেছেন?" তারা বলল: "আল্লাহ ও তাঁর রাসূলই ভালো জানেন।" এরপর তিনি (নবী ﷺ) বললেন: "তিনি (আল্লাহ) বলেছেন: আমার বান্দাদের কেউ সকালে আমার প্রতি ঈমানদার হয়ে উপনীত হয়েছে এবং কেউ কাফির হয়ে উপনীত হয়েছে। যে বলল: আল্লাহর অনুগ্রহ ও রহমতে আমাদের বৃষ্টি হয়েছে, সে আমার প্রতি ঈমানদার এবং নক্ষত্রের প্রতি কাফির, আর যে বলল:

It is narrated on the authority of Zaid Ibn Khalid AI-Juhani: The Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) led the morning prayer at Hudaibiyah. There were some marks of the rainfall during the night. At the conclusion of prayer he turned towards people and observed: "Do you know what your Lord has said?" They replied: "Allah and His Messenger know best." Upon this he (the Prophet) remarked: "He (Allah) said: Some of My slaves entered the morning as My believers and some as unbelievers. He who said: We have had a rainfall due to the Blessing and Mercy of Allah, he is My believer and a disbeliever of stars, and who said:

আমাদের উপর বৃষ্টিপাত হয়েছে নক্ষত্রের উদয়ের কারণে। (এর ফলে) সে নক্ষত্রে বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করেছে।” (বুখারী ও মুসলিম)

We have had a rainfall due to the rising affirmed his faith in the stars." (Bukhari and Muslim)
