নবী ﷺ আব্দুল কায়েসের প্রতিনিধি দলকে বললেন: "আমি তোমাদের আদেশ করছি যেন তোমরা একমাত্র আল্লাহর প্রতি ঈমান আনো।" তিনি তাদের জিজ্ঞেস করলেন, "তোমরা কি জানো, একমাত্র আল্লাহর প্রতি ঈমান আনা বলতে কী বোঝায়?" তারা উত্তর দিল, "আল্লাহ ও তাঁর রাসূলই ভালো জানেন।" অতঃপর নবী ﷺ

A--- The Prophet (Peace be upon him) said to the delegation of 'Abd AlQais: "I order you to believe in Allah Alone and asked them, 'Do you know what is meant by believing in Allah Alone?' They replied, 'Allah and His Messenger know better.' Thereupon the Prophet (Peace be upon him)

তিনি বলেছেন: এর অর্থ হলো এই সাক্ষ্য দেওয়া যে আল্লাহ ছাড়া কোনো ইলাহ নেই এবং মুহাম্মাদ ﷺ আল্লাহর রাসূল, সালাত কায়েম করা, যাকাত (ফরয দান) প্রদান করা, রমাযান মাসে সিয়াম পালন করা, এবং আল-খুমুস (আল্লাহর পথে প্রদেয় যুদ্ধলব্ধ সম্পদের এক-পঞ্চমাংশ) প্রদান করা। (বুখারী ও মুসলিম)

said: 'It means: to testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah, and Muhammad is Allah's Messenger, to offer Prayers, to pay the Zakah (obligatory charity), to observe fast during the month of Ramadan, and to pay AI-Khumus (one fifth of the booty to be given in Allah's Cause).
