এ— আয়িশাহ (রাযিয়াল্লাহু আনহা) থেকে বর্ণিত। আল্লাহর রাসূল ﷺ বলেছেন: "হে উসমান! আল্লাহ যদি তোমাকে এই দায়িত্ব (খিলাফত) দান করেন, আর মুনাফিকরা চায় যে তুমি সেই জামা (খিলাফত) খুলে ফেলো যা আল্লাহ তোমাকে পরিয়েছেন, তবুও তুমি তা খুলো না।" তিনি এই কথাটি তিনবার বলেছেন।

A--- Narrated `A'ishah (May Allah be pleased with her) Allah's Messenger (Peace be upon him) saying: "O 'Uthman! /fone day Allah gave you this issue (the Caliphate) and the hypocrites wanted you to take off the shirt (Caliphate) Allah bestowed on you, do not take it off" He said it thrice.

শূরার সদস্যগণ তাঁর ব্যাপারে ঐকমত্যে পৌঁছান, অতঃপর নবী ﷺ-এর সকল সাহাবী (একমত হন)। সর্বপ্রথম 'আব্দুর-রহমান ইবনু 'আউফের পর 'আলী ইবনু আবী ত্বালিব তাঁর হাতে বাইআত করেন, এরপর বাকি লোকেরা।

The People of Shura (Consultation) agreed on him, then all the Prophet's companions. The first to pay him homage was `Ali Ibn Abu Talib after 'Abdur-Rahman Ibn 'Auf, then the rest of the people.
