আল্লাহ তাআলা তাঁর মহিমান্বিত কুরআনে বলেন, {তোমাদের প্রত্যেকের জন্য আমি একটি বিধান ও একটি স্পষ্ট পথ নির্ধারণ করেছি। আল্লাহ ইচ্ছা করলে তোমাদের সবাইকে এক উম্মত বানাতে পারতেন, কিন্তু তিনি তোমাদেরকে যা দিয়েছেন তাতে তোমাদের পরীক্ষা করার জন্য (এমন করেছেন); অতএব তোমরা সৎকর্মে প্রতিযোগিতা করো}। (আল-মায়িদাহ, ৪৮)

A--- Almighty Allah says in His Glorious Qur'an, {To each among you, We have prescribed "Shir`ah wa Minhaj” a law and a clear way. If Allah had willed, He would have made you one nation, but that (He) may test you in what He has given you; so compete in good deeds}. (Al-Ma'idah,48)

ইবনু আব্বাস (রাদিয়াল্লাহু আনহুমা) বলেছেন: "শিরআহ ওয়া মিনহাজ অর্থ একটি বিধান ও একটি সুস্পষ্ট পথ।" একই মত পোষণ করেছেন মুজাহিদ, ইকরিমাহ, আল-হাসান আল-বাসরি, কাতাদাহ, আদ-দাহহাক, আস-সুদ্দি এবং আবু ইসহাক আস-সুবাঈ'ঈ।

Ibn 'Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) said: "Shir`ah wa Minhaj means a law and a clear way." The same viewpoint was held by Mujahid, `Ikrimah, Al-Hasan Al-Basri, Qatadah, Ad-Dahhak, As-Sadyi, and Abu Ishaq As-Subai`i.

সহীহ আল-বুখারীতে নবী মুহাম্মাদ ﷺ বলেছেন: "নবীগণ পরস্পর বৈমাত্রেয় ভাই, তাঁদের মায়েরা ভিন্ন, কিন্তু তাঁদের দ্বীন এক।" (20) তিনি এর দ্বারা তাওহীদ বা আল্লাহর একত্ববাদ বুঝিয়েছেন, যা দিয়ে মহান আল্লাহ সকল রাসূল ও নবীকে প্রেরণ করেছেন এবং যা তিনি, তাঁর মহিমা সুমহান, তাঁর সকল কিতাবে অবতীর্ণ করেছেন। তবে বিধি-বিধানের ক্ষেত্রে তাঁরা ভিন্ন ছিলেন, যেমন আদেশ ও নিষেধ, হালাল ও হারাম সম্পর্কিত বিধানে। {যাতে তিনি তোমাদের পরীক্ষা করতে পারেন, কে তোমাদের মধ্যে কর্মে সর্বোত্তম} (হূদ, ৭)

In Sahih AI-Bukhari, Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) says: "The Prophets are paternal brothers, their mothers are different, but their religion is one.” (20) He means the Monotheism or Tawhid (The Oneness of Allah) with which Allah the Almighty sent all Messengers and Prophets, and that which He, Glory be His, revealed in all His Books. But, as for the laws, they are different pertaining to the ordainments and prohibitions, the lawful and the unlawful, {That He might try you, which of you is the best in deeds}. (Hud, 7)
