A--- পূর্ববর্তী ধার্মিক আলিমগণ সর্বসম্মতভাবে নিম্নোক্ত উক্তির উপর ঐকমত্য পোষণ করেছেন: "ইস্তিওয়া (উপরে উঠা) জানা, তবে তার কাইফিয়্যাত (ধরন) আমাদের বুদ্ধির সীমার বাইরে; এতে ঈমান আনা ওয়াজিব, এ বিষয়ে প্রশ্ন করা বিদআত; এর জ্ঞান আল্লাহর পক্ষ থেকে আসে, রাসূল ﷺ-এর দায়িত্ব হলো তাঁকে যা আদেশ করা হয়েছে তা পৌঁছে দেওয়া, আর আমাদের করণীয় হলো আত্মসমর্পণ করা (আল্লাহর কাছে নিজেদের ইচ্ছা সমর্পণ করা)।" {আমরা এতে ঈমান আনি; এর সবটুকুই (স্পষ্ট ও অস্পষ্ট আয়াতসমূহ) আমাদের রবের পক্ষ থেকে} (আলে ইমরান, ৭)। আল্লাহর নাম ও গুণাবলি সম্পর্কিত আয়াত ও হাদীসের মুখোমুখি হলে তাঁদের সাধারণ প্রতিক্রিয়া এটিই ছিল।

A--- The earlier godly scholars unanimously agreed upon the following saying: "The [Istiwa’] Rising Over is known, the [Kaif] how lies beyond our mental capabilities, believing therein is a duty, inquiring about it is a heresy, our knowledge of it comes from Allah, the Messenger must convey what he was ordered to, and all we can do is to submit (our will to Allah)." {We believe in it; the whole of it (clear and unclear verses) are from our Lord} (Al 'Imran, 7) is their usual response when encountering verses and Hadiths pertaining to Allah's Names and Attributes.

আল্লাহ বলেন: {আমরা আল্লাহর প্রতি ঈমান এনেছি এবং সাক্ষ্য দিচ্ছি যে আমরা মুসলিম (অর্থাৎ আমরা আল্লাহর কাছে আত্মসমর্পণকারী)}। (আলে ইমরান, ৫২)

Allah says: {We believe in Allah, and bear witness that we are Muslims (i.e. we submit to Allah)}. (Al' Imran, 52)
