Alle Menschen sind, wenn auch in unterschiedlichem Maße, mit Instinkten und organischen Bedürfnissen ausgestattet, die sie zu bestimmten Handlungen antreiben. So bringt etwa der Heiligungsinstinkt die Menschen dazu, zu verehren und anzubeten, der Selbsterhaltungsinstinkt veranlasst sie, ihren Reichtum zu mehren und ihr Leben zu sichern, und der Fortpflanzungsinstinkt drängt sie dazu, sexuelle Beziehungen zu anderen einzugehen. Ebenso gehören zu den organischen Bedürfnissen das Bedürfnis zu essen, zu trinken, zu atmen usw.

Human beings are all endowed, albeit to different extents, with instincts and organic needs, which drive them to perform certain actions. For example, of the instincts, the sanctification instinct causes people to revere and worship, the survival instinct causes them to seek to increase their wealth and secure their lives, and the procreational instinct urges them to have sexual relationships with others. Similarly, among the organic needs, are the need to eat, drink, breathe etc.

Alle Instinkte und organischen Bedürfnisse müssen befriedigt werden. Werden die Instinkte nicht befriedigt, führt dies zu Elend. Werden die organischen Bedürfnisse nicht erfüllt, führt dies zum Tod. Lässt man den Menschen jedoch sich selbst überlassen, so benutzt er seinen eigenen Verstand, um seine Handlungen zu lenken, und kann so seine Instinkte und organischen Bedürfnisse ganz nach seinem Belieben befriedigen. Doch sein Verstand ist in seiner Fähigkeit begrenzt, anfällig für Irrtümer und unterliegt Eigennutz und Vorurteilen. Ohne Leitung kann die Befriedigung der Instinkte und organischen Bedürfnisse auf eine Weise erfolgen, die anderen schadet. So mag etwa der Überlebensinstinkt den Einzelnen dazu treiben, andere zu betrügen und zu bestehlen, um mehr Reichtum zu erlangen. Der Fortpflanzungsinstinkt kann Menschen dazu verleiten, Ehebruch oder Unzucht zu begehen. Dies sind nur einige Beispiele, doch der Raum für Probleme ist nahezu grenzenlos.

All of the instincts and organic needs must be fulfilled. If the instincts are not satisfied it will lead to misery. If the organic needs are not fulfilled, it will lead to death. However, if human beings are left to their own devices, they use their own minds to direct their actions and can thus fulfil their instincts and organic needs exactly as they please. But their minds are limited in ability, prone to error and subject to selfishness and prejudice. Without guidance, the satisfaction of the instincts and organic needs may be carried out in a way that is harmful to others. For instance, the survival instinct may drive individuals to cheat and steal from others in order to gain more wealth. The procreation instinct may lead people into committing adultery or fornication. These are just a couple of examples, but the scope for problems is almost limitless.

Ein solcher Zustand ist ein Rezept für Unheil und völlige Verderbnis auf der Erde. Solange die Triebe der Menschen nicht durch irgendeine Art von Richtlinien reguliert werden, wird die Gesellschaft weiterhin von Übeln heimgesucht werden, wie wir sie heute um uns herum sehen, etwa rituellem Kindesmissbrauch als einer Form der Anbetung; Verbrechen und Ausbeutung als Mittel zur Vermehrung des Reichtums; oder Homosexualität oder Vergewaltigung als Mittel zur Befriedigung des sexuellen Triebs usw.

Such a state of affairs is a recipe for disaster and complete corruption on the earth. Unless the instincts of people are regulated by some kind of guidelines, the society will continue to be plagued by evils of the like we see around us today, such as ritual child abuse as a type of worship; crime and exploitation as a mean of increasing wealth; or homosexuality or rape as a means of fulfilling the sexual urge etc.

Ohne die Führung des Schöpfers bleibt der Menschheit keine andere Wahl, als in diese Notlage zu geraten. Es ist daher klar, dass eine solche Führung notwendig ist, die als Ausweg für alle Menschen kommt, und somit auch Gesandte, die diese Führung vom Schöpfer an die Menschheit überbringen.

Without guidance from the Creator, mankind has no option but to fall into this predicament. Clearly then, there is a need for such guidance, to come as a way out for all the people, and thereby a need for messengers, to convey this guidance to mankind from the creator.

Tatsächlich wurden seit Beginn der Menschheitsgeschichte Gesandte zu den Menschen geschickt, die diese Rechtleitung überbrachten und die Menschen eindringlich aufriefen, die Natur ihrer Existenz zu erkennen und die Wirklichkeit und den Zweck ihres Lebens zu verstehen. Allah (SWT) sagt:

Indeed, messengers have been sent to mankind since the beginning of human history, carrying this guidance and imploring people to recognise the nature of their existence and to understand the reality and purpose of their lives. Allah (swt) says,.

„Und wahrlich, Wir haben in jeder Gemeinschaft einen Gesandten erweckt (mit der Botschaft): ‚Dient Allah allein und meidet das Böse.‘“ [TMQ 16:36].

“And verily We have sent among every nation a Messenger (proclaiming) ‘Worship Allah alone, and avoid evil.’” [TMQ 16:36].

Der letzte dieser Gesandten war der Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, und mit seiner Rechtleitung kam die Klärung nicht nur der Wahrheit dieser Existenz, sondern auch des Verhaltenskodex für die Menschheit, um Gerechtigkeit und Wohlergehen sowohl in diesem Leben als auch im Jenseits zu erlangen.

The last of these messengers was Prophet Muhammad (saw) and with his guidance, came the clarification of not only the truth of this existence, but also the code of conduct for humanity to achieve justice and prosperity in both this life and the next.
