A--- O Mensageiro de Allah ﷺ disse: "Eu não sei quando morrerei, portanto sigam os dois que vierem depois de mim." Ele apontou para Abu Bakr e 'Umar (que Allah esteja satisfeito com eles). (At-Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah, Ahmad e Al-Hakim)

A--- Allah's Messenger (Peace be upon him) says: "I do not know when will I be dead, so follow the two who come after me.” He pointed to Abu Bakr and 'Umar (May Allah be pleased with them). (AtTirmidhi, Ibn Majah, Ahmed and AI-Hakim)

Narrado por Hudhaifah (que Allah esteja satisfeito com ele): "... 'Umar disse: 'Não era isso que eu queria dizer, mas perguntei sobre aquela provação que se espalhará como as ondas do mar.' Eu (Hudhaifah) disse: 'Ó líder dos fiéis! Não precisas temer por ela, pois há uma porta fechada entre ti e ela.' 'Umar perguntou: 'A porta será quebrada ou aberta?' Respondi: 'Ela será quebrada.' 'Umar disse: 'Então ela nunca mais será fechada.'" (Sahih Bukhari)

Narrated Hudhaifah (May Allah be pleased with him): "... 'Umar said: 'I did not mean that but I asked about that affliction which will spread like the waves of the sea.’ I (Hudhaifah) said: 'O leader of the faithful believers! You need not be afraid of it as there is a closed door between you and it.’ 'Umar asked, 'Will the door be broken or opened?' I replied, 'It will be broken.’ 'Umar said: 'Then it will never be closed again.’ (Sahih Bukhari)

Toda a Ummah concordou unanimemente quanto ao seu direito de ser o sucessor de Abu Bakr (que Allah esteja satisfeito com eles)
