Q 106: Cite some examples from the Prophetic Sunnah pertaining to the portents of the Last Hour?
الف--- نبوی سنت قیامت کی نشانیاں میں سے بہت سی علامات کو ظاہر کرتی ہے۔ ان میں سے کچھ درج ذیل ہیں: سورج کا مغرب سے نکلنا، دابۃ الارض، دجال، عیسیٰ ابن مریم کا نزول، یاجوج و ماجوج، دھواں، وہ ہوا جو تمام مومنوں کی روحیں قبض کر لے گی، وہ آگ جو یمن سے ظاہر ہوگی اور لوگوں کو ان کے مجمع کے مقام کی طرف دھکیل دے گی، اور زمین کا دھنس جانا۔ (23)
A--- The Prophetic Sunnah denotes a good deal of the portents of the Last Hour. Some of them are as follows: the rising of the sun from the west, the beast, Dajjal, the descent of Jesus son of Mary, the Gog and Magog, the smoke, the wind that would take souls of all the believers, the fire that would appear from the Yemen, and would drive people to the place of their assembly, and the land-sliding. (23)
(23) حذیفہ بن اسید غفاری رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ اللہ کے رسول ﷺ اچانک ہمارے پاس تشریف لائے جبکہ ہم (کسی بحث میں مصروف) تھے۔ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: تم کس چیز کے بارے میں بحث کر رہے ہو؟ انہوں نے (صحابہ نے) عرض کیا: ہم قیامت کے بارے میں بحث کر رہے ہیں۔ اس پر آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: قیامت اس وقت تک نہیں آئے گی جب تک تم اس سے پہلے دس نشانیاں نہ دیکھ لو، اور (اس سلسلے میں) آپ ﷺ نے دھواں، دجال، دابۃ الارض، سورج کا مغرب سے نکلنا، عیسیٰ بن مریم علیہ السلام کا نزول، یاجوج و ماجوج، اور تین مقامات پر زمین کے دھنسنے کا ذکر فرمایا، ایک مشرق میں، ایک مغرب میں اور ایک عرب میں، جس کے اختتام پر یمن سے آگ نکلے گی اور لوگوں کو ان کے مجمع کے مقام کی طرف لے جائے گی۔ عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا
(23) Hudhaifa Ibn Usaid Ghifari (Peace be upon him) reported: Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) came to us all of a sudden as we were (busy in a discussion). He said: What do you discuss about? They (the companions) said. We are discussing about the Last Hour.Thereupon he said: It will not cone until you see ten signs before and (in this connection) he made a mention of the smoke, Dajjal, the beast, the rising of the sun from the west, the descent of Jesus son of Mary (Allah be pleased with him), the Gog and Magog, and landslidings in three places, one in the east, one in the west and one in Arabia at the end of which fire would burn forth from the Yemen, and would drive people to the place of their assembly. " A'ishah (May Allah be pleased with her)
روایت ہے کہ میں نے اللہ کے رسول ﷺ کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا: رات اور دن کا (یہ) نظام اس وقت تک ختم نہیں ہوگا جب تک لوگ لات اور عزیٰ کی عبادت میں مبتلا نہ ہو جائیں۔
reported: I heard Allah's Messenger (Peace be upon him) as saying: The (system) of night and day would not end until the people have taken to the worship of Lat and' Uzza.
میں نے کہا: اے اللہ کے رسول ﷺ، میرا خیال ہے کہ جب اللہ نے یہ آیت نازل فرمائی: "وہی ہے جس نے اپنے رسول کو ہدایت اور دینِ حق کے ساتھ بھیجا تاکہ وہ اسے تمام مذاہب پر غالب کر دے، اگرچہ مشرکین ناپسند کرتے ہوں" (سورۃ التوبہ: 33)، تو اس سے یہ مراد ہے کہ (یہ وعدہ) پورا ہونے والا ہے۔ تب اللہ کے رسول ﷺ نے فرمایا: یہ ویسے ہی ہوگا جیسے اللہ چاہے گا۔ پھر اللہ ایک خوشبودار ہوا بھیجے گا جس کے ذریعے وہ ہر شخص مر جائے گا جس کے دل میں اللہ کے بارے میں رائی کے دانے برابر بھی ایمان ہوگا، اور صرف وہی لوگ زندہ بچیں گے جن میں کوئی خیر نہ ہوگی، اور وہ اپنے آباؤ اجداد کے دین کی طرف لوٹ جائیں گے۔
I said: Allah's Messenger, I think when Allah has revealed this verse: "He it is Who has sent His Messenger with right guidance, and true religion, so that He may cause it to prevail upon all religions, though the polytheists are averse (to it)" (ix. 33), it implies that (this promise) is going to be fulfilled. Thereupon he (Allah's Messenger) said: It would happen as Allah would like. Then Allah would send the sweet fragrant air by which everyone who has even a mustard grain of faith in Him would die and those only would survive who would have no goodness in them. And they would revert to the religion of their forefathers."
