الف--- قرآنِ مجید اللہ تعالیٰ کا کلام ہے: الفاظ اور معنی دونوں لحاظ سے۔ اس کا کلام نہ تو صرف حروف ہے اور نہ ہی صرف معنی۔ بلکہ الفاظ اور معنی دونوں مل کر اس کا کلام بنتے ہیں۔ اللہ تعالیٰ نے اسے زبان سے ادا فرمایا، وحی کے ذریعے اپنے نبی ﷺ پر نازل فرمایا، اور سچے مومنوں نے اس پر ایمان لایا۔

A--- The Glorious Qur'an is the Word of Allah the Almighty: in wording and in meaning. His Word is neither the characters only, nor the meanings only. Both the characters and the meanings constitute His Word. Allah the Almighty Spoke it verbally, sent it down on His Prophet (Peace be upon him) by Revelation, and the true believers had faith in it.

یہ اللہ تعالیٰ کا کلام ہے، اگرچہ یہ ہاتھوں سے لکھا گیا، زبانوں سے پڑھا گیا، دلوں میں محفوظ کیا گیا، کانوں سے سنا گیا اور آنکھوں سے دیکھا گیا۔ بے شک ہاتھ، سیاہی، قلم اور کاغذ سب مخلوق ہیں، جبکہ ان کے ذریعے جو لکھا گیا ہے وہ مخلوق نہیں ہے۔ مزید یہ کہ زبانیں اور آوازیں مخلوق ہیں، جبکہ جو ان کے ذریعے تلاوت کیا جاتا ہے وہ مخلوق نہیں ہے۔ سینے مخلوق ہیں، جبکہ جو ان میں محفوظ کیا جاتا ہے وہ مخلوق نہیں ہے۔ کان مخلوق ہیں، جبکہ جو سنا جاتا ہے وہ مخلوق نہیں ہے۔

It is the Word of the Most Gracious even though it is written by hands, recited by tongues, committed to hearts, heard by ears, and seen by eyes. Indeed, the hands, ink, pens, and papers are all created, while what is written down with them is not. Moreover, tongues and voices are created, while what is recited thereof is not. Bosoms are created, while what is kept therein is not. Ears are created, while what is heard is not.
