الف--- اس کا مطلب ہے رب العالمین کے ساتھ شریک ٹھہرانا، جیسے کسی سے اس طرح محبت کرنا جیسے اللہ سے کی جاتی ہے، کسی سے اس طرح ڈرنا جیسے وہ اللہ ہو، اس پر بھروسہ کرنا، اسے پکارنا، اس سے امید رکھنا، اس کے ساتھ گناہ وار وفاداری رکھنا، ان کاموں میں اس کی اطاعت کرنا جن سے اللہ ناراض ہوتا ہے، وغیرہ۔ اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتا ہے:

A--- It means associating partners with the Lord of the worlds, like loving someone in the way one loves Allah, fearing someone as if he is Allah, relying on him, invoking him, hoping from him, sinful loyalty to him, obeying him in what displeases Allah, etc. Allah, the Almighty says:

{بے شک اللہ اس بات کو معاف نہیں کرتا کہ اس کے ساتھ کسی کو شریک ٹھہرایا جائے، مگر اس کے علاوہ جسے وہ چاہے معاف فرما دیتا ہے، اور جس نے اللہ کے ساتھ شریک ٹھہرائے، وہ یقیناً بہت دور بھٹک گیا}۔ (سورۃ النساء، 116)

{Verily! Allah forgives not (the sin of) setting up partners (in worship) with Him, but He forgives whom He wills sins other than that, and whoever sets up partners in worship with Allah, has indeed strayed far away}. (An-Nisa', 116)

اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتا ہے: {... اور جو اللہ کے ساتھ عبادت میں شریک ٹھہرائے، اس نے یقیناً ایک بہت بڑا گناہ ایجاد کیا ہے۔} (سورۃ النساء، 48)

Allah the Almighty says: {... and whoever sets up partners with Allah in worship, he has indeed invented a tremendous sin}. (AnNisa', 48)

اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتا ہے: {بیشک جس نے اللہ کے ساتھ شریک ٹھہرائے، تو اللہ نے اس پر جنت کو حرام کر دیا ہے، اور آگ ہی اس کا ٹھکانہ ہے}۔ (سورۃ المائدہ، 72)

Allah the Almighty says: {Verily, whosoever sets up partners (in worship) with Allah, then Allah has forbidden Paradise to him, and the Fire will be his abode}. (Al-Ma'idah, 72)

اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتا ہے: {..اور جو شخص اللہ کے ساتھ شریک ٹھہراوے، تو گویا وہ آسمان سے گر پڑا، اور پرندوں نے اسے جھپٹ لیا، یا ہوا نے اسے کسی دور دراز جگہ پھینک دیا۔} (سورۃ الحج، 4)

Allah the Almighty says: {..and whoever assigns partners to Allah, it is as if he had fallen from the sky, and the birds had snatched him, or the wind had thrown him to a far off place}. (Al-Hajj, 4)

نبی کریم ﷺ فرماتے ہیں: "اللہ تعالیٰ کی مخلوق پر یہ حق ہے کہ وہ صرف اسی کی عبادت کریں اور اس کے ساتھ کسی کو شریک نہ ٹھہرائیں، اور اللہ تعالیٰ کی طرف سے ان پر یہ حق ہے کہ وہ کسی ایسے شخص کو سزا نہ دیں جو اس کے ساتھ کسی کو شریک نہ ٹھہراتا ہو۔" [البخاری اور مسلم]

The Prophet (Peace be upon him) says: "What is due to Allah from His creatures is to serve Him alone and never to associate any other being with Him. What is due them is not to punish any person who does not associate aught with Him.” (Bukhari and Muslim)

ان لوگوں میں کوئی فرق نہیں ہے جو قریش کے مشرکین کی طرح اپنے شرک کا اظہار کرتے ہیں اور وہ لوگ جو اسے چھپاتے ہیں، جیسے منافقین جو اسلام کا اظہار کرتے ہیں اور اپنے باطنی شرک کو خفیہ رکھتے ہیں۔ اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتا ہے: {بے شک منافقین آگ کے سب سے نچلے درجے میں ہوں گے، اور تمہارے لیے ان کا کوئی مددگار نہ ہوگا، سوائے ان کے جو توبہ کر لیں، نیک عمل کریں، اللہ کو مضبوطی سے تھام لیں اور اپنا دین اللہ کے لیے خالص کر لیں، تو وہ مومنوں کے ساتھ ہوں گے}۔ (سورۃ النساء، 145، 146)

There is no difference between those who declare their polytheism like the Pagans of Quraish and those who hide it, like the hypocrites who declare Islam and make their internal polytheism secret. Allah the Almighty says: {Verily, the hypocrites will be in the lowest depth (grade) of the Fire,. no helper will you find for them. Except those who repent (from hypocrisy), do righteous good deeds, hold fast to Allah, and purify their religion for Allah, then they will be with the believers}. (An-Nisa', 145,146)
