الف--- غیر کفرانہ بدعت کا مطلب قرآنِ مجید یا اللہ کے نبیوں ﷺ کے ساتھ نازل کردہ کسی بھی چیز کا انکار یا رد کرنا نہیں ہے۔ جیسے کہ مروانیوں کی وہ بدعتیں جنہیں نبی ﷺ کے معزز صحابہ کرامؓ نے مسترد کر دیا تھا۔

A--- The Non-blasphemous Innovation does not imply denying or rejecting the Glorious Qur'an or anything of what has been sent with Allah's Prophets. Such as the Innovations of the Marwanis that were rejected by the dignified companions of the Prophet (Peace be upon him).

تاہم، صحابہ کرام نے نہ تو مروانیوں کو کافر قرار دیا اور نہ ہی ان کے ہاتھ پر بیعت واپس لی۔ ان کی بدعتیں یہ تھیں کہ وہ بعض نمازوں میں تاخیر کرتے تھے، نماز سے پہلے عید کا خطبہ دیتے تھے، اور منبروں پر نبی ﷺ کے بعض جلیل القدر صحابہ کی توہین کرتے تھے۔ وہ یہ سب کسی شرعی فکر کے تحت نہیں کرتے تھے، بلکہ یہ محض غلط تاویلات، نفسانی خواہشات اور دنیاوی مقاصد کا نتیجہ تھا۔

However, the companions neither said that the Marwanis were disbelievers, nor did they withdraw their pledge of allegiance paid to them. These Innovations were: they used to delay performing some prayers, their delivering the `Id sermon before the Prayer, and their abusing of some of the grand companions of the Prophet (Peace be upon him) on pulpits, etc. They used to do so not bearing in mind any legal thought, but it was only false interpretations, psychological desires, and worldly purposes.
