Q 40: What is the textual proof that the word Iman "Faith" is used to mean every aspect of the religion (of Islam)?
A--- نبی کریم ﷺ نے عبد القیس کے وفد سے فرمایا: "میں تمہیں صرف اللہ پر ایمان لانے کا حکم دیتا ہوں،" پھر آپ ﷺ نے ان سے پوچھا، "کیا تم جانتے ہو کہ صرف اللہ پر ایمان لانے سے کیا مراد ہے؟" انہوں نے جواب دیا، "اللہ اور اس کا رسول ﷺ بہتر جانتے ہیں۔" اس پر نبی کریم ﷺ نے
A--- The Prophet (Peace be upon him) said to the delegation of 'Abd AlQais: "I order you to believe in Allah Alone and asked them, 'Do you know what is meant by believing in Allah Alone?' They replied, 'Allah and His Messenger know better.' Thereupon the Prophet (Peace be upon him)
کہا: 'اس کا مطلب ہے: اس بات کی گواہی دینا کہ اللہ کے سوا کوئی عبادت کے لائق نہیں اور محمد ﷺ اللہ کے رسول ہیں، نمازیں قائم کرنا، زکوٰۃ ادا کرنا، رمضان کے مہینے میں روزے رکھنا، اور الخمس (اللہ کی راہ میں مالِ غنیمت کا پانچواں حصہ) ادا کرنا۔ [البخاری اور مسلم]'
said: 'It means: to testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah, and Muhammad is Allah's Messenger, to offer Prayers, to pay the Zakah (obligatory charity), to observe fast during the month of Ramadan, and to pay AI-Khumus (one fifth of the booty to be given in Allah's Cause).
