الف--- اس سے مراد منافقین کا کفر ہے جو مسلمانوں کو دھوکہ دینے کے لیے ایمان کا دعویٰ کرتے ہیں اور اپنے کفر کو چھپاتے ہیں۔ اس زمرے میں ابی بن سلول اور اس کے گروہ جیسے لوگ شامل ہیں؛ اللہ تعالیٰ ان کے بارے میں فرماتا ہے: {اور لوگوں میں سے کچھ ایسے بھی ہیں (منافق)}

A--- This means the disbelief of the hypocrites who declare belief and conceal their disbelief to deceive the Muslims. This category includes people such as Ubaiy Ibn Salul and his party; Allah the Almighty says pertaining to them: {And of mankind there are some (hypocrites)

جو کہتے ہیں: "ہم اللہ اور یومِ آخرت پر ایمان لائے ہیں" حالانکہ وہ حقیقت میں ایمان نہیں لائے۔ وہ اللہ کو اور ایمان والوں کو دھوکہ دینے کی کوشش کرتے ہیں، جبکہ وہ صرف اپنے آپ کو دھوکہ دے رہے ہیں اور وہ (اس کا) ادراک نہیں رکھتے! ان کے دلوں میں بیماری (شک اور نفاق کی) ہے اور اللہ نے ان کی بیماری کو اور بڑھا دیا ہے۔ ان کے لیے دردناک عذاب ہے کیونکہ وہ جھوٹ بولتے تھے۔ اور جب ان سے کہا جاتا ہے: "زمین میں فساد نہ پھیلاؤ!" تو وہ کہتے ہیں: "ہم تو صرف اصلاح کرنے والے ہیں۔" یقیناً وہی لوگ فساد پھیلانے والے ہیں، لیکن وہ سمجھتے نہیں۔ اور جب ان سے (منافقوں سے) کہا جاتا ہے: "ایسا ایمان لاؤ جیسا کہ لوگوں نے (محمد ﷺ کے پیروکاروں، انصار اور مہاجرین نے) ایمان لایا ہے،" تو وہ کہتے ہیں: "کیا ہم ویسا ایمان لائیں جیسا کہ بیوقوفوں نے ایمان لایا ہے؟" یقیناً وہی بیوقوف ہیں، لیکن وہ جانتے نہیں۔ اور جب وہ ایمان والوں سے ملتے ہیں تو کہتے ہیں: "ہم ایمان لائے ہیں،" لیکن جب وہ اپنے شیاطین (مشرکین اور منافقین) کے ساتھ تنہا ہوتے ہیں تو کہتے ہیں: "بیشک ہم تمہارے ساتھ ہیں؛ ہم تو بس مذاق اڑاتے تھے۔" اللہ ان کا مذاق اڑاتا ہے اور انہیں ان کی سرکشی میں مزید بڑھنے دیتا ہے تاکہ وہ اندھیرے میں بھٹکتے رہیں۔ یہی وہ لوگ ہیں جنہوں نے ہدایت کے بدلے گمراہی خریدی، پس ان کی تجارت نفع بخش نہ رہی اور وہ ہدایت نہ پا سکے۔ ان کی مثال اس شخص کی طرح ہے جس نے آگ جلائی؛ پھر جب اس نے اس کے گرد و نواح کو روشن کر دیا تو اللہ نے ان کی روشنی چھین لی اور انہیں اندھیروں میں چھوڑ دیا۔ (پس)

who say: "We believe in Allah and the Last Day" while in fact they believe not. They (think to) deceive Allah and those who believe, while they only deceive themselves, and perceive (it) not! In their hearts is a disease (of doubt and hypocrisy) and Allah has increased their disease. A painful torment is theirs because they used to tell lies. And when it is said to them: "Make notmischief on the earth!" they say: "We are only peace-makers.” Verily! They are -the ones who make mischief, but they perceive not. And when it is said to them (hypocrites): "Believe as the people (followers of Muhammad (Peace be upon him), Al-Ansar and AlMuhajirun) have believed, " they say: "Shall we believe as the fools have believed?" Verily, they are the fools, but they know not. And when they meet those who believe they say: "We believe,” but when they are alone with their Shayatin (devils - polytheists, hypocrites), they say: "Truly, we are with you; verily, we were but mocking." Allah mocks at them and gives them increase in their wrong-doing to wander blindly. These are they who have purchased error for guidance, so their commerce was profitless. And they were not guided. Their likeness is as the likeness of one who kindled a fire; then, when it lighted all around him Allah took away their light and left them in darkness. (So)

وہ دیکھ نہیں سکتے، وہ بہرے، گونگے اور اندھے ہیں، پس وہ (ہدایت کی راہ پر) واپس نہیں آئیں گے۔ یا ان کی مثال آسمان سے گرنے والے اس طوفان کی سی ہے جس میں اندھیرا، گرج اور بجلی ہو۔ وہ موت کے ڈر سے گرج کی آواز سے بچنے کے لیے اپنے کانوں میں انگلیاں ٹھونس لیتے ہیں۔

they could not see. They are deaf, dumb, and blind, so they return not (to the Right Path). Or like a rainstorm from the sky, wherein is darkness, thunder and lightning. They thrust their fingers in their ears to keep out the stunning thunderclap for fear of death.

{لیکن اللہ کا احاطہ کافروں کو (یعنی اللہ ان سب کو اکٹھا کر لے گا)۔ بجلی ان کی بصارت کو تقریباً چھین لیتی ہے، جب بھی ان کے لیے بجلی چمکتی ہے تو وہ اس میں چلنے لگتے ہیں، اور جب ان پر اندھیرا چھا جاتا ہے تو وہ کھڑے ہو جاتے ہیں۔ اور اگر اللہ چاہتا تو ان کی سماعت اور بصارت چھین لیتا۔ بے شک اللہ ہر چیز پر قادر ہے۔} (سورۃ البقرہ، 8-20)

But Allah ever encompasses the disbelievers (i.e. Allah will gather them all together). The lightning almost snatches away their sight, whenever it flashes for them they walk therein, and when darkness covers them, they stand still. And if Allah willed, He could have taken away their hearing and their sight. Certainly, Allah has power over all things}. (Al-Baqarah, 8-20)
