الف--- اس کا مطلب اللہ تعالیٰ کے وجود پر خالص اور کامل عقیدہ رکھنا ہے، جس کی نہ پہلے کوئی ذات تھی اور نہ بعد میں کوئی ہوگا۔ وہ ازلی و ابدی ہے، ہر چیز سے پہلے ہے، مگر اس کی کوئی ابتدا نہیں۔

A--- It means to have pure and absolute belief in the Existence of Allah the Almighty Who has never been preceded or followed by anyone. The Ever First, the Eternal Old, prior to everything, but without a beginning.

وہ آخری ہے، سب کچھ مکمل طور پر فنا ہونے کے بعد بھی ہمیشہ رہنے والا، مگر جس کی کوئی انتہا نہیں۔ وہ ظاہر ہے، اس سے اوپر کچھ نہیں۔ وہ باطن (پوشیدہ) ہے جس کا تصور کوئی نہیں کر سکتا۔ وہ ہمیشہ زندہ رہنے والا ہے، بلند و بالا، خود کفیل، یکتا، اور ہمیشہ رہنے والا پناہ گاہ ہے۔ نہ اس کی کوئی اولاد ہے اور نہ وہ کسی سے پیدا ہوا ہے، اور اس کے برابر یا اس کا ہمسر کوئی نہیں۔

The Last, the Eternal survivor after the utter destruction of everything, but without an end. He is the Outward' there is nothing above Him. .The Inward (Hidden) Whom no one can conceive. He is the Ever-Living, the Sublime SelfSubsisting, the One, the Everlasting Refuge, He begets not, nor was He begotten, and there is none equal or comparable unto Him.

ان کی توحید کے تین پہلو ہیں: [توحید الٰہیہ] اللہ کی عبادت میں توحید، [توحید الربوبیہ] اللہ کی ربوبیت میں توحید، اور [توحید الاسماء والصفات] اللہ کے ناموں اور صفات میں توحید۔

His Oneness has three aspects: [Tawhid AI-Uluhiyyah] Oneness of the Worship of Allah, [Tawhid Ar-Rububiyyah] Oneness of the Lordship of Allah, and [Tawhid AI-AsmaJ was-Sifat] Oneness of the Names and Attributes of Allah.
