الف--- یہ پانچ چیزیں ہیں، اور یہ سب علم سے تعلق رکھتی ہیں:

A--- These are five, all of which belong to know ledge:

پہلی: آسمانوں اور زمین کی تخلیق سے پچاس ہزار سال پہلے، جب اللہ تعالیٰ نے قلم کو پیدا کیا تھا، اپنے احکامات کو لکھ لینا؛ اسے ازلی تقدیر کہا جاتا ہے۔

First: Recording one's ordainments fifty thousand years before the creation of the heavens and the earth when the Pen was created by Allah the Almighty. This is called the Eternal Pre-ordainment.

دوسرا: ازلی تقدیر: جب اللہ تعالیٰ نے بنی آدم سے عہد لیا، {اور (اس وقت کو یاد کریں) جب آپ کے رب نے بنی آدم کی پشت سے ان کی نسل نکالی اور انہیں خود ان کے بارے میں گواہ بنایا (یہ کہہ کر کہ): "کیا میں تمہارا رب نہیں ہوں؟" انہوں نے کہا: "ہاں! ہم گواہی دیتے ہیں،" تاکہ قیامت کے دن تم یہ نہ کہو: "بے شک ہم اس سے بے خبر تھے۔" یا تم یہ نہ کہو: "یہ تو صرف ہمارے باپ دادا تھے جنہوں نے اللہ کے ساتھ دوسروں کو شریک ٹھہرایا تھا، اور ہم تو ان کے بعد ان کی اولاد تھے؛ کیا تو ہمیں ان لوگوں کے اعمال کی وجہ سے ہلاک کر دے گا جنہوں نے باطل (یعنی شرک، جرائم اور گناہ، اور اللہ کے سوا دوسروں کو پکارنا اور عبادت کرنا) اختیار کیا تھا؟"}۔ (سورۃ الاعراف، 172، 173)

Second: The Life-time Pre-ordainment: when Allah the Almighty took the Covenant from the Children of Adam, {And (remember) when your Lord brought forth from the Children of Adam, from their loins, their seed (or from Adam's loin his offspring) and made them testify as to themselves (saying): "Am I not your Lord?" They said: "Yes! We testify," lest you should say on the Day of Resurrection: "Verily, we have been unaware of this." Or lest you should say: "It was only our fathers aforetime who took others as partners in worship along with Allah. And we were (merely their) descendants after them; will You then destroy us because of the deeds of men who practiced Al-Batil (i.e. polytheism and committing crimes and sins, invoking and worshipping others besides Allah)?”). (Al-A' raf, 172, 173)

تیسرا: تقدیرِ حیات، جب رحم کے اندر نطفہ کو زندگی عطا کی جاتی ہے۔

Third: The Life-time Pre-ordainment: when the Nutfah (mixed drops of male and female sexual discharge) is given life inside the womb.

چوتھا: سالانہ تقدیر کا فیصلہ: لیلۃ القدر یعنی شبِ قدر کے موقع پر۔

Fourth: The Annual Pre-ordainment: on Lailat Al-Qadr the Night of Might.

پانچواں: روزانہ کی تقدیر، یعنی ان تمام چیزوں کو ان کے مقررہ وقت پر انجام دینا۔

Fifth: The Daily Pre-ordainment: which is carrying out all these at their proper times.
