امام ترمذی سے روایت ہے کہ اللہ کے رسول ﷺ نے فرمایا: "جادوگر کی سزا تلوار کا وار ہے۔" (ایک ضعیف حدیث جو ترمذی نے روایت کی ہے)

A ---Narrated Imam At-Tirmidhi: Allah's Messenger (Peace be upon him) says: "The Prescribed Penalty for the sorcerer is a hit with the sword.” (A Weak Hadith narrated by At- Tirmidhi)

ترمذی نے اضافہ کیا ہے: یہ سزا نبی کریم ﷺ کے صحابہ کرام میں سے اہل علم اور دیگر لوگوں کی طرف سے نافذ کی گئی ہے۔ یہ امام مالک ابن انس کا قول بھی ہے۔

At-Tirmidhi added: This penalty has been brought into effect by the wellversed from among the companions of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and others. This is also the saying of Imam Malik Ibn Anas.

امام شافعیؒ نے فرمایا: جادوگر کو قتل کیا جائے گا اگر اس کے افعال کفر کے درجے تک پہنچ جائیں، لیکن اگر وہ اس درجے تک نہ پہنچیں تو اسے قتل نہیں کیا جائے گا۔

Imam Ash-Shafi' I said: The sorcerer is to be killed if his acts reach the degree of disbelief, but if they do not, he is not to be killed.

In addition, killing the sorcerer was affirmed by the following: 'Umar Ibn AI-Khattab, his son 'Abdullah, his daughter Hafsah, 'Uthman Ibn 'Affan, Jundub Ibn 'Abdullah, Jundub Ibn Ka' b, Qais Ibn Sa' d, 'Umar Ibn 'Abdel 'Aziz, Imam Ahmed, Imam Abu Hanifah, and many others.
