A --- ان میں سب سے بہترین وہ لوگ تھے جنہوں نے اسلام قبول کرنے میں سبقت لی، یعنی مہاجرین (وہ جنہوں نے مکہ سے المدینہ ہجرت کی) اور انصار (المدینہ کے وہ باشندے جنہوں نے مہاجرین کی مدد اور معاونت کی)، پھر اہل بدر، پھر اہل احد، پھر بیعتِ رضوان وغیرہ۔

A ---The best amongst them were the foremost to embrace Islam of the Muhajirun (those who migrated from Mecca to Al-Madinah) and the Ansar (the citizens of Al-Madinah who helped and gave aid to the Muhajirun), then the people of Badr, then Uhud, then the Pledge of Ar-Ridwan, etc.

اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتا ہے: {اور تم میں سے وہ لوگ جو (فتح مکہ سے) پہلے خرچ کرتے رہے اور لڑے (اور وہ لوگ جنہوں نے بعد میں ایسا کیا) وہ ان کے برابر نہیں ہیں۔ وہ درجے میں ان لوگوں سے بلند ہیں جنہوں نے بعد میں خرچ کیا اور لڑے۔ لیکن اللہ نے سب سے بہترین (اجر) کا وعدہ کیا ہے۔} [سورۃ الحدید، 10]

Allah the Almighty says: {Not equal among you are those who spent and fought before the conquering (of Mecca, with those among you who did so later). Such are higher in degree than those who spent and fought afterwards. But to all Allah has promised the best (reward)}. (AlHadid, 10)
