اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتا ہے: {اللہ صرف ان لوگوں کی توبہ قبول کرتا ہے جنہوں نے جہالت اور نادانی میں برائی کی اور جلد ہی توبہ کر لی، یہی ہیں جنہیں اللہ معاف فرما دے گا اور اللہ سب کچھ جاننے والا، حکمت والا ہے}۔ (سورۃ النساء، 17)

A ---Allah the Almighty says: {Allah accepts only the repentance of those who do evil in ignorance and foolishness and repent soon afterwards, it is they whom Allah will forgive and Allah is Ever AllKnower, All-Wise}. (An-Nisa', 17)

صحابہ کرام رضی اللہ عنہم کا اس بات پر متفقہ اتفاق ہے کہ اللہ تعالیٰ کی نافرمانی میں کیا جانے والا ہر عمل جہالت ہے، خواہ وہ جان بوجھ کر کیا گیا ہو یا نادانی میں۔

Companions of the Prophet (Peace be upon him) unanimously agreed on that everything that is done in disobedience of Allah, is an act of ignorance whether it be on purpose or not.

رسول اللہ ﷺ فرماتے ہیں: "بے شک اللہ تعالیٰ بندے کی توبہ کو اس وقت تک قبول فرماتا ہے جب تک کہ وہ نزع (موت کی سختی) کی کیفیت میں نہ پہنچ جائے۔" [احمد، ترمذی اور ابن ماجہ] اس کی تائید بہت سی احادیث میں کی گئی ہے۔ لیکن، اگر بندہ ملک الموت کو دیکھ لے، اس کی روح سینے میں لرزنے لگے، حلق تک پہنچ جائے اور وہ موت کی سختی کا مشاہدہ کر لے، تو پھر کوئی توبہ قبول نہیں کی جائے گی اور بچ نکلنے کا کوئی راستہ نہیں ہوگا۔ {اور انہوں نے پکارا جب بچنے کا وقت نہ رہا}۔ [سورۃ ص، 3]

Allah's Messenger (Peace be upon him) says: "Verily, Allah accepts the repentance of the slave till he experiences the death agony." (Ahmed, AtTirmidhi and Ibn Majah) This is affirmed in so many Hadiths. But, if the slave saw the Angel of Death, his soul swaged in his chest, and it reached the throat and he witnessed the agony of death, upon that no repentance would be accepted and there would not be any way to run. {And they cried out when there was no longer time for escape}. (Sad, 3)

اللہ تعالیٰ فرماتا ہے: {اور ان لوگوں کی توبہ بے اثر ہے جو برائیوں پر ڈٹے رہے یہاں تک کہ ان میں سے کسی کی موت کا وقت آ گیا اور وہ کہنے لگا: "اب میں توبہ کرتا ہوں"؛ اور نہ ہی ان کی جو کافر رہتے ہوئے مر گئے، ان کے لیے ہم نے دردناک عذاب تیار کر رکھا ہے۔} (سورۃ النساء، 18)

Allah the Almighty says: {And of no effect is the repentance of those who continue to do evil deeds until death faces one of them and he says: "Now I repent;” nor of those who die while they are disbelievers. For them We have prepared a painful torment}. (AnNisa', 18)
