A--- Erstens: Es macht den gesamten Gottesdienst ungültig, etwa wenn man dem Morgengebet (Fajr) eine dritte Rak'a hinzufügt, dem Abendgebet (Maghrib) eine vierte oder dem Mittagsgebet (Zuhr) eine fünfte. Ebenso, wenn man davon eine Rak'a weglässt.

A--- First: it nullifies the whole act of worship such as adding a third Rak'ah to the Fajr Prayer, a fourth one to the Maghrib, or a fifth to the Zuhr Prayer. Or, such as decreasing a Rak' ah thereof.

Zweitens: Es hebt den Gottesdienst nicht auf, obwohl es (eine Neuerung, Bid'a) ist.

Second: it does not nullify the act of worship though it is (Innovation)

...ist selbst im Grunde ungültig. Ein Beispiel dafür ist derjenige, der den zu waschenden Körperteilen bei der Waschung (Wudu) ein viertes Waschen hinzufügt. Der Prophet ﷺ hat nicht gesagt, dass sie ungültig sei, sondern sagte: „Wer dem etwas hinzufügt, der hat gewiss schlecht gehandelt, hat übertreten und Unrecht getan.“ (Abu Dawud und Ibn Madscha)

itself is basically nullified. Such as the one who adds a fourth time of wash to the organs to be washed in Ablution. The Prophet (Peace be upon him) did not say it is nullified, but said: "Whosoever adds to this, he certainly did badly, transgressed and did (something) wrong." (Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah)
