A--- Überliefert von 'A'ishah (möge Allah mit ihr zufrieden sein): Der Gesandte Allahs ﷺ sagte: „O 'Uthman! Eines Tages wird Allah dir diese Angelegenheit (das Kalifat) geben, und die Heuchler werden von dir verlangen, das Hemd abzulegen (das Kalifat), das Allah dir verliehen hat; leg es nicht ab." Er sagte dies dreimal.
A--- Narrated `A'ishah (May Allah be pleased with her) Allah's Messenger (Peace be upon him) saying: "O 'Uthman! /fone day Allah gave you this issue (the Caliphate) and the hypocrites wanted you to take off the shirt (Caliphate) Allah bestowed on you, do not take it off" He said it thrice.
