A--- De Glorieuze Koran is het Woord van Allah de Almachtige: in bewoording en in betekenis. Zijn Woord bestaat niet enkel uit de letters, noch enkel uit de betekenissen. Zowel de letters als de betekenissen vormen Zijn Woord. Allah de Almachtige sprak het verbaal, zond het neer op Zijn Profeet ﷺ door Openbaring, en de ware gelovigen hadden er geloof in.

A--- The Glorious Qur'an is the Word of Allah the Almighty: in wording and in meaning. His Word is neither the characters only, nor the meanings only. Both the characters and the meanings constitute His Word. Allah the Almighty Spoke it verbally, sent it down on His Prophet (Peace be upon him) by Revelation, and the true believers had faith in it.

Het is het Woord van de Meest Genadevolle, ook al is het geschreven door handen, voorgelezen door tongen, ingeslagen in harten, gehoord door oren en gezien door ogen. Voorwaar, de handen, inkt, pennen en papieren zijn allemaal geschapen, terwijl dat wat ermee is opgeschreven dat niet is. Bovendien zijn tongen en stemmen geschapen, terwijl dat wat daarvan wordt voorgelezen dat niet is. Borsten zijn geschapen, terwijl dat wat daarin wordt bewaard dat niet is. Oren zijn geschapen, terwijl dat wat gehoord wordt dat niet is.

It is the Word of the Most Gracious even though it is written by hands, recited by tongues, committed to hearts, heard by ears, and seen by eyes. Indeed, the hands, ink, pens, and papers are all created, while what is written down with them is not. Moreover, tongues and voices are created, while what is recited thereof is not. Bosoms are created, while what is kept therein is not. Ears are created, while what is heard is not.

De Almachtige Allah zegt in Zijn Glorieuze Koran: {Dat (dit) is inderdaad een eervolle recitatie (de Nobele Koran). In een Boek dat goed bewaard wordt (bij Allah in de hemel, d.w.z. Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz)}. (Al-Waqi'ah, 77,78)

Almighty Allah says in His Glorious Qur'an: {That (this) is indeed an honorable recitation (the Noble Qur'an). In a Book well guarded (with Allah in the heaven i.e. AI-Lauh Al- Mahfuz)}. (Al-Waqi'ah, 77,78)

Allah zegt: {Nee, maar zij, de duidelijke Ayah's zijn bewaard in de borsten van degenen aan wie kennis is gegeven (onder de Mensen van het Boek). En niemand behalve de Zalimun (polytheïsten en onrechtvaardigen) ontkent Onze Ayah's}. (Al-'Ankabut, 49)

Allah says: {Nay, but they, the clear Ayat are preserved in the breasts of those who have been given knowledge (among the People of the Scriptures). And none but the Zalimun (Polytheists .and wrongdoers) deny Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.)}. (Al-' Ankabut, 49)

Allah zegt: {En reciteer wat aan jou is geopenbaard van het Boek (de Koran) van jouw Heer (O Muhammad ﷺ) (dat wil zeggen: reciteer het, begrijp de leer ervan, volg de instructies op, handel naar de geboden en verkondig het aan de mensen). Niemand kan Zijn Woorden veranderen}. (Al-Kahf, 27)

Allah says: {And recite what has been revealed to you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) of the Book (the Qur'an) of your Lord (i. e. recite it, understand and follow its teachings and act on its orders and preach it to men). None can change His Words}. (Al-Kahf, 27)

Allah zegt: {En als iemand van de afgodendienaar (Mushrik) bij jou asiel zoekt, verleen hem dan asiel, zodat hij het Woord van Allah (de Koran) kan horen}. (At-Taubah, 6)

Allah says: {And if anyone of the Mushrikun (polytheists, idolaters, pagans, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah) seeks your protection then grant him protection so that he may hear the Word of Allah (the Qur'an)}. (At- Taubah, 6)

Ibn Mas'ud (moge Allah tevreden met hem zijn) zei: "Blijf kijken naar (de bewoordingen van) de Glorieuze Koran." Vervolgens, wie dat zegt dat de Glorieuze Koran of een deel daarvan geschapen is, hij is een ongelovige die de Islam volledig verwerpt. Want de Koran is het Woord van Allah de Almachtige; het kwam eerst van Hem en zal naar Hem terugkeren, en Zijn Woord is een van Zijn Eigenschappen. Wie zegt dat een van de Eigenschappen van Allah geschapen is, hij is een ongelovige en een afvallige. Het oordeel dat op hem van toepassing is, is dat hem berouw wordt aangeboden. Als hij terugkeert naar de Islam, wordt hij veiliggesteld. Maar als hij weigert, moet hij worden gedood als een ongelovige die niets te maken heeft met de regels die het leven en de dood van moslims beheersen.

Ibn Mas' ud (May Allah be pleased with him) said: "Keep looking at (the wording) of the Glorious Qur'an.” Thereupon, whosoever says that the Glorious Qur'an or part thereof is created, he is a disbeliever denouncing Islam entirely. For the Qur'an is the Word of Allah the Almighty; it came first from Him and will turn back to Him and His Word is one of His Attributes. Whosoever says that any of the Attributes of Allah is created, he is a disbeliever and renegade. The ruling pertaining to him is that he is offered repentance. If he returns to Islam, he becomes safe. But, if he refuses, he is to be killed as a disbeliever who has nothing to do with the rulings governing the life and death of Muslims.
