Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri (qu’Allah l’agrée) a rapporté que le Messager d'Allah ﷺ a dit : « La mort sera présentée au Jour de la Résurrection sous la forme d'un bélier de couleur blanche. » Abu Kuraib a ajouté ceci : « Puis il sera placé entre le Paradis et l'Enfer. » Pour ce qui est du reste du hadith, il y a un accord parfait (entre les deux narrateurs) et il sera dit aux habitants du Paradis : « Reconnaissez-vous ceci ? » Ils lèveront le cou et regarderont vers lui en disant : « Oui, c'est la mort. » Puis il sera dit aux habitants de l'Enfer : « Reconnaissez-vous ceci ? » Et ils lèveront le cou et regarderont en disant : « Oui, c'est la mort. » Ensuite, l'ordre sera donné de l'égorger, puis il sera dit : « Ô habitants du Paradis, il y a pour vous une vie éternelle et aucune mort. » Et ensuite (s'adressant) aux habitants de l'Enfer, il sera dit : « Ô habitants de l'Enfer, il y a pour vous une vie éternelle et aucune mort. » Le Messager d'Allah ﷺ a ensuite récité ce verset en désignant de sa main ce monde (matériel) : {Et avertis-les de ce jour de la consternation, lorsque leurs affaires seront tranchées et qu'ils seront insouciants et ne croiront pas}. Abu Sa' id Al-Khudri (May Allah be pleased with him) reported Allah's Messenger (Peace be upon him) as saying: Death would be brought on the Day of Resurrection in the form of a white-colored ram. Abu Kuraib made this addition: Then it would be made to stand between the Paradise and the Hell. So far as the rest of the Hadith is concerned there is perfect agreement (between the two narrators) and it would be said to the inmates of Paradise: Do you recognize this? They would raise up their necks and look towards it and say: Yes, it is death. Then it would be said to the inmates of Hell-Fire. Do you recognize this? And they would raise up their necks and look and say: Yes, it is death. Then command would be given for slaughtering that and then it would be said: O inmates of Paradise, there is an everlastinglife for you and no death. And then (addressing) to the inmates of the Hell-fire, it would be said: O inmates of Hell-fire, there is an everlasting living for you and no death. Allah's Messenger (Peace be upon him) then recited this verse pointing with his hand to this (material) world: {Warn them, this Day of dismay, and when their affairs would be decided and they would be unmindful and they believe not}."
