Par exemple, invoquer quiconque ou quoi que ce soit d'autre qu'Allah et lui demander de faire ce qui ne peut être fait que par Allah le Tout-Puissant. L'invocation elle-même est une forme d'adoration ; elle est plutôt le cœur de l'adoration dirigée vers autre qu'Allah. Il s'agit du polythéisme dans Al-Uluhiyyah, la Divinité d'Allah.
