A——这五项都属于知识。

A--- These are five, all of which belong to know ledge:

首先：在天地被创造前五万年，真主创造笔时，真主便将万物的定命记录下来。这被称为永恒的前定。

First: Recording one's ordainments fifty thousand years before the creation of the heavens and the earth when the Pen was created by Allah the Almighty. This is called the Eternal Pre-ordainment.

第二：一生的前定：当安拉至高无上时，与亚当的子孙立下盟约，{当时，你的主从亚当的子孙的脊背中取出他们的后代，并使他们自证于己（说）："难道我不是你们的主吗？"他们说："是的！我们作证。"这是恐怕你们在复活日说："我们对此确实不知道。"或者恐怕你们说："只是我们的祖先以前把同安拉并列的神灵当作配偶，而我们是他们以后的后裔，难道你要因那些行虚妄（即以多神教、犯罪和罪过，祈求并崇拜安拉之外的他物）的人的所作所为而毁灭我们吗？"}（《高处章》，第172、173节）

Second: The Life-time Pre-ordainment: when Allah the Almighty took the Covenant from the Children of Adam, {And (remember) when your Lord brought forth from the Children of Adam, from their loins, their seed (or from Adam's loin his offspring) and made them testify as to themselves (saying): "Am I not your Lord?" They said: "Yes! We testify," lest you should say on the Day of Resurrection: "Verily, we have been unaware of this." Or lest you should say: "It was only our fathers aforetime who took others as partners in worship along with Allah. And we were (merely their) descendants after them; will You then destroy us because of the deeds of men who practiced Al-Batil (i.e. polytheism and committing crimes and sins, invoking and worshipping others besides Allah)?”). (Al-A' raf, 172, 173)

第三：生命前定（前定之时）：即精血（男女混合的液体）在母腹中被赋予生命之时。

Third: The Life-time Pre-ordainment: when the Nutfah (mixed drops of male and female sexual discharge) is given life inside the womb.

第四：年度的前定：在盖德尔之夜（至尊之夜）中。

Fourth: The Annual Pre-ordainment: on Lailat Al-Qadr the Night of Might.

第五：每日的前定，即按照其应有的时间去完成这一切。

Fifth: The Daily Pre-ordainment: which is carrying out all these at their proper times.
