Ас-Сунна в языке означает путь, образ действия. В шариате же это название некоторых добровольных видов поклонения, перешедших от Пророка ﷺ. А сунна — это то, что пришло от посланника Аллаха ﷺ в виде слов, дел и одобрения. Когда речь идёт о шариатских доказательствах, всё это и есть сунна, и всё это получено через откровение. Аллah Таála сказал: {Он не говорит по своей прихоти} {Это не что иное, как откровение, ниспосланное ему} (сура Ан-Наджм, 3–4). И Он, Всевышний, сказал: {Скажи: «Я лишь предостерегаю вас откровением...»} (сура Аль-Анбийа, 45).

Al–Sunnah linguistically is the method, and in the shari'ah it is the name of some of the supererogatory worships transferred from the Prophet (SAW), and the Sunnah is the name of what came from the messenger (SAW) of saying, action and approval, when we talk about the shari'ahi evidences, all that is the sunnah and it is all what is received by the revelation, Allah Ta'ala said: {Nor does he say (aught) of (his own) Desire} {It is no less than inspiration sent down to him} 3 Surat Al-Najm, and He Ta'ala said: to according you warn but do I :Say revelation…} 45 Surat Al-Anbia'.
