Q 106: Cite some examples from the Prophetic Sunnah pertaining to the portents of the Last Hour?
A--- 預言者の sunnah(スンナ)は、終末の兆候の多くを示している。その中には次のものがある。太陽が西から昇ること、獣、ダッジャール(Dajjal)、マリアの息子イエスの降臨、ゴグとマゴグ、煙、すべての信者の魂を奪う風、イエメンから現れて人々をその集合の地へ追い立てる火、そして地面の陥没である。(23)
A--- The Prophetic Sunnah denotes a good deal of the portents of the Last Hour. Some of them are as follows: the rising of the sun from the west, the beast, Dajjal, the descent of Jesus son of Mary, the Gog and Magog, the smoke, the wind that would take souls of all the believers, the fire that would appear from the Yemen, and would drive people to the place of their assembly, and the land-sliding. (23)
(23) フザイファ・イブン・ウサイド・ギファーリー(彼に平安あれ)が伝えた。アッラーの使徒ﷺが、私たちが(ある議論に夢中になっていたときに)不意に私たちのところへ来られた。彼はこう言われた。「あなたがたは何について話しているのか。」彼らは言った。「私たちは終末の時について話し合っていたのです。」すると彼はこう言われた。「その前に十の兆しを見るまで、それは来ない。」そして彼は煙、ダッジャール、獣、西から太陽が昇ること、マryamの子イエス(アッラーが彼を喜ばれますように)の降臨、ゴグとマゴグ、そして三か所での地すべりについて言及された。すなわち、一つは東で、一つは西で、一つはアラビア半島でのものであり、その最後に、イエメンから火が噴き出して、人々をその集合の地へと追い立てる、と。 アーイシャ(アッラーが彼女を喜ばれますように)
(23) Hudhaifa Ibn Usaid Ghifari (Peace be upon him) reported: Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) came to us all of a sudden as we were (busy in a discussion). He said: What do you discuss about? They (the companions) said. We are discussing about the Last Hour.Thereupon he said: It will not cone until you see ten signs before and (in this connection) he made a mention of the smoke, Dajjal, the beast, the rising of the sun from the west, the descent of Jesus son of Mary (Allah be pleased with him), the Gog and Magog, and landslidings in three places, one in the east, one in the west and one in Arabia at the end of which fire would burn forth from the Yemen, and would drive people to the place of their assembly. 私はアッラーの使徒ﷺが次のように仰るのを聞きました。「夜と昼の(仕組み)は、人々がラートとウッザーを崇拝するようになるまで終わることはない。」
reported: I heard Allah's Messenger (Peace be upon him) as saying: The (system) of night and day would not end until the people have taken to the worship of Lat and' Uzza.

I said: Allah's Messenger, I think when Allah has revealed this verse: "He it is Who has sent His Messenger with right guidance, and true religion, so that He may cause it to prevail upon all religions, though the polytheists are averse (to it)" (ix. 33), it implies that (this promise) is going to be fulfilled. Thereupon he (Allah's Messenger) said: It would happen as Allah would like. Then Allah would send the sweet fragrant air by which everyone who has even a mustard grain of faith in Him would die and those only would survive who would have no goodness in them. And they would revert to the religion of their forefathers."
