A--- それは、他の誰にも先立たれず、また後に続く者もいないアッラーの御存在を、純粋で絶対的な信仰をもって信じることを意味する。常に最初におられ、永遠に古くから存在し、すべてに先立つが、始まりを持たないお方である。

A--- It means to have pure and absolute belief in the Existence of Allah the Almighty Who has never been preceded or followed by anyone. The Ever First, the Eternal Old, prior to everything, but without a beginning.

最後の者であり、すべてが完全に滅んだ後にも残る永遠の存在である。しかし終わりはない。彼は「外に現れた者（Al-Zahir）」であり、彼より上に何もない。「内に隠れた者（Al-Batin）」であり、誰も彼を思い描くことはできない。彼は永遠に生きる方であり、崇高で自存する方、唯一の方、永遠の庇護者である。彼は子を生まず、生まれたのでもなく、彼に並ぶ者も匹敵する者もいない。

The Last, the Eternal survivor after the utter destruction of everything, but without an end. He is the Outward' there is nothing above Him. .The Inward (Hidden) Whom no one can conceive. He is the Ever-Living, the Sublime SelfSubsisting, the One, the Everlasting Refuge, He begets not, nor was He begotten, and there is none equal or comparable unto Him.

彼の唯一性（タウヒード）には三つの側面がある。[タウヒード・アル＝ウルーヒーヤ] アッラーの崇拝における唯一性、[タウヒード・アル＝ルブービーヤ] アッラーの主権における唯一性、そして[タウヒード・アル＝アスマーウ・ワッ＝スィファート] アッラーの御名と属性における唯一性である。
