The meaning of Al-Ijmaa’ in accordance to the Istilaah of the Usooliyeen:
É o consenso (ijmāʿ) sobre o ḥukm de uma realidade entre as realidades, no que diz respeito a ser um ḥukm sharʿī, após o falecimento do Mensageiro de Allah ﷺ.
It is the agreement upon the Hukm of a reality from amongst the realities in respect to it being a Hukm Shar’iy after the passing of the Messenger of Allah (saw).

1 – O Ijmaa’ é a terceira prova (Daleel) depois do Alcorão e da Sunnah, porque se baseia numa prova legislativa (Daleel Shar’iy), ainda que essa prova não tenha chegado até nós diretamente, mas apenas o Hukm deduzido a partir dela é que chegou até nós.
