A Maslahah foi chamada de Maslahah porque a construção de um Hukm sobre ela está de acordo com aquilo que se considera mais provável para trazer ou alcançar os benefícios ou afastar os danos. E foi descrita com o termo Irsaal (ou seja, Mursal) porque ela é desprovida de um Daleel Shar'iy que a considere ou que a anule da parte do Shaari'. The Maslahah has been called a Maslahah because the building of a Hukm upon it is in accordance to what is thought to be most likely to bring or attain the benefits or repel the harms.
