৮ – আত-তা'দীব (শাস্তি প্রদান), যেমন মহান আল্লাহর বাণী:

8 – At-Ta’deeb (chastisement) like in His Qawl Ta’Aalaa:

নাহী (নিষেধ) হলো কোনো কাজ ত্যাগ করা বা না করার জন্য আদেশ করা, যা "আলা সাবীলিল ইসতি'লা'ই" অর্থাৎ উচ্চতর কর্তৃত্ব থেকে আসার ভিত্তিতে বা ধারণায় হয়ে থাকে। আরবি ভাষায় নিষেধের সীগাহ (রূপ) হলো: লা তাফ'আল বা লা ইয়াফ'আল, যেমন আল্লাহ (সুবহানাহু ওয়া তা'আলা)-এর বাণীতে এসেছে:
