Al-Fatwā lingüísticamente: procede del verbo ‘ ‘con el significado de Aftā, con el significado de Abān (hacer claro/evidente). Al-Futyā y Al-Fatwā tienen el mismo significado único, y el masdar (infinitivo o nombre verbal) es Al-Iftā’.
