The meaning of Al-Fiqh:
El Fiqh, lingüísticamente, significa: «Al-Fahm» (comprensión). Allah Ta'ala dijo por boca de Musa (as):
Al-Fiqh linguistically means: ‘Al-Fahm’ (understanding). Allah Ta’Aalaa said upon the tongue of Mousaa (as):
Y desata el nudo de mi lengua, para que comprendan mi discurso (Ta-Ha, 28).
And untie the knot from my tongue (so that) they understand (Fiqh) my speech (TaHa 28).
Lo que significa que ellos "entienden" lo que yo les digo.
Which means that they ‘understand’ what I say to them.
El significado de Al-Fiqh, según el Istilaah (definición terminológica) de los 'Ulamaa de Usool ul-Fiqh, es:
The meaning of Al-Fiqh in accordance to the Istilaah (terminological definition) of the ‘Ulamaa of Usool ul-Fiqh is:
«Es el ʿIlm (conocimiento) de los Ahkām Ash-Sharʿiyyah prácticos extraídos de sus evidencias detalladas».
‘It is the ‘Ilm (knowledge) of the practical Ahkaam Ash-Shar’iyah taken from its detailed evidences’.

Lo que se pretende con esto es: Al-Waajib, Al-Mandoob, Al-Mubaah, Al-Makrooh y Al-Haraam.
What is intended by this is: Al-Waajib, Al-Mandoob, Al-Mubaah, Al-Makrooh and Al-Haraam.
Lo que se pretende también: As-Sabab, Ash-Shart, Al-Maani', Al-'Azeemah, Ar-Rukhsah y As-Sihhah, Al-Fasaad y Al-Butlaan.
What is intended is also: As-Sabab, Ash-Shart, Al-Maani’, Al- ‘Azeemah, Ar-Rukhsah and As-Sihhah, Al-Fasaad and Al-Butlaan.
Al-‘Amaliyyah (práctica):
Al-‘Amaliyyah (practical):
Aquello que tiene relación con las acciones de los ‘Ibaad (siervos), como la Salaah, el Yihad, el comercio y el nombramiento de un Jalifa para los musulmanes.
That which has a relationship to the actions of the ‘Ibaad (slaves) like the Salaah, the Jihaad, the trade and appointing a Khalifah for the Muslims.

Lo que se toma sin istinbāṭ (deducción) y lo que se toma por medio de istinbāṭ.
That which is taken without Istinbaat (deduction) and that which is taken by way of Istinbaat.

Al-Adillah At-Tafseeliyah (the detailed evidences):
Estas son las Adillah Al-Juz'iyah (evidencias parciales), como el Aayah o el Hadeeth, o una parte de ambos, como: "Aqeemu-s-Salaah" (establezcan la oración) y como: "Allah ha hecho lícito el Bai' (comercio)".
These are the Adillah Al-Juz’iyah (partial evidences) like the Aayah or the Hadeeth or a part from them both like: “Aqeemu-s-Salaah” (establish the prayer) and like: “Allah has made Bai’ (trade) Halaal”.
