How the Qur’an was revealed
El Corán fue revelado al Profeta Muhammad ﷺ en partes a lo largo de un período de 23 años. No descendió siguiendo un patrón regular: a veces llegaba de forma consecutiva, mientras que en otras ocasiones se demoraba o había largos intervalos entre una revelación y otra. La primera que fue revelada fue la de la Sura Al-'Alaq, y esta fue Su Qawl Ta'Aalaa:
The Qur’aan was revealed upon the Nabi Muhammad (saw) in instalments (in parts) over a period of 23 years. It did not descend upon a regular pattern; sometimes it would come consecutively whilst at other times it would be delayed or there would be long gaps between the revelations. The first to be revealed was from Soorah Al- ‘Alaq and this was His Qawl Ta’Aalaa:
Lee en el nombre de tu Señor, que creó. Creó al hombre de un coágulo. Lee, y tu Señor es el más Generoso. Quien enseñó por medio de la pluma. Enseñó al ser humano lo que no sabía (Al-‘Alaq 1-5).
Read in the name of your Lord who created. Created man from a clot. Read and your Lord is the Most Generous. Who taught by the pen. Taught the human that which he did not know (Al-‘Alaq 1-5).
