अल-फ़िक़्ह का अर्थ:
The meaning of Al-Fiqh:
अल-फ़िक़्ह भाषाई रूप से का अर्थ है: 'अल-फ़हम' (समझ)। अल्लाह तआला ने मूसा (अ) की ज़बान से कहा:
Al-Fiqh linguistically means: ‘Al-Fahm’ (understanding). Allah Ta’Aalaa said upon the tongue of Mousaa (as):
और मेरी ज़ुबान की गाँठ खोल दे (ताकि) वे मेरी बात (फ़िक़्ह) समझें। (ताहा 28)
And untie the knot from my tongue (so that) they understand (Fiqh) my speech (TaHa 28).
इसका अर्थ है कि वे वही "समझते" हैं जो मैं उनसे कहता हूँ।
Which means that they ‘understand’ what I say to them.
इस्तिलाह (पारिभाषिक परिभाषा) के अनुसार उसूल अल-फ़िक़्ह के उलमा के निकट अल-फ़िक़्ह का अर्थ यह है:
The meaning of Al-Fiqh in accordance to the Istilaah (terminological definition) of the ‘Ulamaa of Usool ul-Fiqh is:
यह शरई अहकाम का वह इल्म (ज्ञान) है जो उनके विस्तृत प्रमाणों से हासिल किया जाता है।
‘It is the ‘Ilm (knowledge) of the practical Ahkaam Ash-Shar’iyah taken from its detailed evidences’.

अल-अहकाम अश-शरइय्याह:
Al-Ahkaam Ash-Shar’iyah:
इससे अभिप्राय है: अल-वाजिब, अल-मंदूब, अल-मुबाह, अल-मकरूह और अल-हराम।
What is intended by this is: Al-Waajib, Al-Mandoob, Al-Mubaah, Al-Makrooh and Al-Haraam.
जो अभिप्रेत है वह भी: अस-सबब, अश-शर्त, अल-मानिअ, अल-अज़ीमह, अर-रुख़्सह और अस-सिहह, अल-फ़साद और अल-बुतलान।
What is intended is also: As-Sabab, Ash-Shart, Al-Maani’, Al- ‘Azeemah, Ar-Rukhsah and As-Sihhah, Al-Fasaad and Al-Butlaan.
अल-अमलिय्यah (व्यावहारिक):
Al-‘Amaliyyah (practical):
वह सब जिसका संबंध बंदों (‘इबाद) के कामों से है, जैसे नमाज़ (सलाह), जिहाद, व्यापार (तिजारत) और मुसलमानों के लिए ख़लीफ़ा नियुक्त करना।
That which has a relationship to the actions of the ‘Ibaad (slaves) like the Salaah, the Jihaad, the trade and appointing a Khalifah for the Muslims.
अल-मुस्तफ़ादाह:
Al-Mustafaadah:
वह जो इस्तिंबात (निष्कर्ष-निकालने) के बिना लिया जाए, और वह जो इस्तिंबात के द्वारा लिया जाए।
That which is taken without Istinbaat (deduction) and that which is taken by way of Istinbaat.
अल-अदिल्लah अत-तफ़्सीलिय्यah (विस्तृत प्रमाण)
Al-Adillah At-Tafseeliyah (the detailed evidences):
ये अदिल्लाह अल-जुज़ईयह (आंशिक प्रमाण) हैं, जैसे आयत या हदीस, या इन दोनों का कोई भाग, जैसे: “अक़ीमु-स-सलाह” (नमाज़ क़ायम करो) और जैसे: “अल्लाह ने ख़रीद-फ़रोख़्त (बै') को हलाल किया है।”
These are the Adillah Al-Juz’iyah (partial evidences) like the Aayah or the Hadeeth or a part from them both like: “Aqeemu-s-Salaah” (establish the prayer) and like: “Allah has made Bai’ (trade) Halaal”.
