कुरआन कैसे उतरा
How the Qur’an was revealed
कुरआन नबी मुहम्मद ﷺ पर 23 वर्षों की अवधि में किस्तों में (भागों में) उतारा गया। यह किसी नियमित ढर्रे पर नहीं उतरा; कभी यह लगातार आता था, जबकि कभी इसमें देर हो जाती थी या वह्य के बीच लंबे अंतराल आ जाते थे। सबसे पहले जो उतरा वह सूरह अल-'अलक़ से था, और यह उसका अल्लाह तआला का कथन है:
The Qur’aan was revealed upon the Nabi Muhammad (saw) in instalments (in parts) over a period of 23 years. It did not descend upon a regular pattern; sometimes it would come consecutively whilst at other times it would be delayed or there would be long gaps between the revelations. The first to be revealed was from Soorah Al- ‘Alaq and this was His Qawl Ta’Aalaa:
अपने रब के नाम से पढ़ जिसने पैदा किया। इंसान को एक जमे हुए खून से पैदा किया। पढ़, और तेरा रब बड़ा करीम (अत्यंत दानशील) है। जिसने क़लम के ज़रिए सिखाया। इंसान को वह सिखाया जो वह नहीं जानता था। (अल-'अलक़ 1-5)
Read in the name of your Lord who created. Created man from a clot. Read and your Lord is the Most Generous. Who taught by the pen. Taught the human that which he did not know (Al-‘Alaq 1-5).
और वह्य (प्रकाशना) में जो अंतिम बात उतरी, वह अल्लाह तआला का यह कथन था:
And the last of the revelation was the speech of Allah Ta’Aalaa:
और उस दिन से डरो जब तुम्हें अल्लाह की ओर लौटाया जाएगा। फिर हर जान को उसकी कमाई का पूरा बदला दिया जाएगा, और उन पर ज़ुल्म नहीं किया जाएगा (अल-बक़रह 281)।
And fear a Day when you will be returned to Allah. Then every soul will be compensated for what it earned, and they will not be treated unjustly (Al-Baqarah 281).
कुरआन का अवतरण उस समय शुरू हुआ जब अल्लाह के रसूल ﷺ मक्का के निकट हिरा की गुफ़ा में थे, जहाँ वे एकांत में जाते थे और चिंतन-मनन करते थे, इससे पहले कि उन्हें संदेश पहुँचाने और नुबुव्वत की ज़िम्मेदारी सौंपी गई।
The Qur’aan began to be revealed upon the Messenger of Allah (saw) when he was in the cave of Hiraa’, close to Makkah, where he would go for solitude and to contemplate before he was tasked with the carrying of the message and the Prophethood.
