1) اگر قیاس کسی قطعی نص پر مبنی ہو اور نص کی علت صراحتاً یا دلالتاً (واضح یا ضمنی) ہو، تو اس صورت میں قیاس خبر واحد ظنی پر مقدم ہوگا۔ 2) اگر قیاس کسی ظنی اصل پر منحصر ہو اور علت کا تعین استنباط کے ذریعے کیا گیا ہو، تو اس صورت میں خبر واحد قیاس پر مقدم ہوگی۔

1) If the Qiyaas is based upon a Qat’iy text and the ‘Illah of the text is Saraahatan or Dalaalatan (explicit or implicit) then in this case the Qiyaas will take precedence over the Khabar Al-Aahaad AzhZhanniy. 2) If the Qiyaas depended upon a Zhanniy Asl (origin) and the ‘Illah was established through Istinbaat (deduction), then in this case the Khabar Al-Aahaad takes precedence over the Qiyaas.

۳) اس سلسلے میں کہ جب قیاس ایک ظنی نص کے ذریعے قائم کیا جائے اور نص کی علت بھی ظنی ہو: اس صورتحال میں جب خبر واحد اور قیاس کے درمیان کوئی تعارض یا تضاد پیدا ہو جائے اور ایک کو دوسرے پر ترجیح دینا ممکن نہ ہو، تو ان کے نظریے کے مطابق، علماء نے قیاس پر خبر واحد کو ترجیح دینے پر اجماع کیا ہے۔

3) In regards to when the Qiyaas is established by a Zhanniy text and the ‘Illah of the text is Zhanniy: In the situation when a conflict or contradiction happens between a Khabar Al-Aahaad and Al-Qiyaas and it is not possible to outweigh one over the other, then, in accordance to his view, the ‘Ulamaa have held a consensus upon giving precedence to the Khabar Al-Aahaad over the Qiyaas.

4) جب علت مستنبطہ (استخراج کی گئی) ہو اور اصل جس پر قیاس مبنی ہو وہ قطعی ہو۔ اس صورت میں خبر واحد پر قیاس کو ترجیح دینے کے حوالے سے علماء کے درمیان اختلافِ رائے پایا جاتا ہے۔

4) When the ‘Illah is Mustanbatah (deduced) and the Asl (origin) that the Qiyaas is based upon is Qat’iy. In this case a difference of opinion has taken place amongst the ‘Ulamaa in respect to outweighing the Qiyaas over the Khabar Al-Aahaad.

الشاطبی نے قطعی اور ظنی کے درمیان تعارض پیش ہونے کے حوالے سے فرمایا ہے: "وہ ظنی جو اصلِ قطعی سے ٹکراتا ہو اور قطعی اصل سے اس کی تائید نہ ہوتی ہو، اسے بغیر کسی مسئلے کے مسترد کر دیا جاتا ہے"۔

- As-Shaatibiy said in respect to being presented with a conflict between the Qat’iy and the Zhanniy: “The Zhanniy that conflicts with the Qat’iy Asl and is not supported by the Asl Qat’iy is rejected without any problem”.
